The intercom came to life with a sharp click and a crackle of static. "I do hope you all have been enjoying your morning so far, but I do think it's about time we moved ahead with the day. Staff, please begin escorting all female patients to the music room and all male patients to the showers. Thank you for your cooperation." The voice cut off on a far too cheerful note as the intercom gave a screech of feedback and fell silent.
