This takes me back so much. Been a long while since I've done anything purely Pokemon. Maybe I should something with May next. Or Dawn, haven't done her yet, and I liked her character. Or maybe Iris. Ahh, I don't know. Entry for round 5 of otp20in20 ~ Pokeshipping, or Ash x Misty. Or SatoKasu. However you'd like to call it!

Red, actually finishing an entry early for once? Let's hope it lasts.

#1: Quotes are from their actual first meeting. Misty was fishing, and accidentally caught Ash and Pikachu, who were running away from a flock of Spearow and had jumped into the water. The flock still behind him, Ash "borrows" Misty's bike, only for her to find it burnt to a crisp by an attack Pikachu had made.
#3: Taken from episode 042 "The Song of Jigglypuff." So yes, the doodles on their faces were done not on Photoshop, but in the anime thanks to Jigglypuff. Also--the fairy tale reference is to the classic "Sleeping Beauty." Which may or may not be ironic for myself because of roleplay. Haha.
#5: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus by John Gray. Not exactly a novel I think, but the title was amusing for some reason.
#6: Season picked is Summer.
#9: Lyrics from "Seasons of Love" from RENT.
#10: Quote from Misty's Goodbye song from the same episode 278, but the english-dubbed version. The original traveling trio of Ash, Misty, and Brock were splitting up in that episode. (Although Brock ultimately gets to travel with Ash for a few more seasons, and Misty makes an appearance one in a blue moon.)
#11: Fool: Beginning, innocence, spontaneity, carefree / Lyrics from "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley
#12: Lovers: Love, union, bonds, alignment, relationships / Lyrics from "Lovers in Japan" by Coldplay
#13: Chariot: Control, will power, victory, assertion

Went off the coloring based on the cover, hence the change in-jacket color. 17/Banner was from the english-dubbed version, and the rest were from raws. Looking back at it now, I think I improved from my first colored icons post, even as I tried to keep something of the same style for old time's sake. Maybe?
