RED THEORY has been more than busy and we'd like to thank all you fans, new and old, for all your support. The boys definitely appreciate seeing your faces at shows, hearing your compliments, and reading your comments. As strong as their passion is for music, the stress of the industry can be overwhelming but you fans are the best pick me up. So, please whenever you want to contact them don't be afraid! They love to hear from you all!

RED THEORY has a lot in store for you and are already starting to reveal these surprises. They've got new orders of bumper stickers and more t-shirts for sale. I can't forget their new demo with "Faceless" and "Gone Away" now added for your listening pleasure. Also, look for their new merch table at their next show! Come stop by and shoot the shit with me and hell, buy something!

The weekend of September 15 was a weekend to remember. RED THEORY kicked it off by playing at The Living Room with A City in Silence and Midnight Knife Fight. The following day they rocked it at New Wave Cafe with Blunt Force Trauma, Triage, and another band I unfortunately didn't catch the name of. Both were good shows but that Saturday was RED THEORY's night to shine. For those of you who didn't make it out to the lovely city of Oneonata, NY you missed one hell of a night. To emphasize the amazing-ness of this night I invented an equation:

Chris K's birthday + RED THEORY playing a metal show with great bands and an energetic crowd + strip of bars within walking distance of venue and hotel = THE ULTIMATE RED THEORY EXPERIENCE!!!!

This was a night neither musician nor fan could forget. Before we all headed to the soon to be performing arts center, the RED THEORY boys and I decided to scope out the bars. We went from one bar to the next and made some friends along the way. RED THEORY has always been a supporter of women's rights and has been putting strippers in school long before the band was formed. With that said, what would a night of booze and metal be without visiting a strip club? (There's always time for titties.) I had never been to a strip club before (surprising, isn't it?) and I can't think of any others than RED THEORY to share my first time with. I couldn't have a chosen a better strip club and all you who weren't there should be jealous. The gorgeous dancer sat at the end of the table after an enticing dance and held out her underwear. One by one, the RED THEORY boys eagerly crumpled up their dollar bills in hopes of getting the money shot. One by one, I witness each ball of dollar fall to the floor. After much teasing from me of their terrible skills, RED THEORY told me to put my money where my mouth is and give it a shot. I checked over my bills that I had crumpled, making sure I hadn't mixed a 20 in there (hey, I gotta put myself through school too!) and took a deep breath while concentrating on the center of the lovely women's lower half. Much to my surprise, and everyone else's, my dollar went right down the middle into the sweet spot. BOOYAH BITCHES! I knew all those games of beer pong against Chaz and Chris K would pay off someday. We moved on to another bar and after receiving free shots from the rad bartender it was time to head down to the Foothills to check out the other bands.

The bands before RED THEORY put on great performances and it was nice to be out in front to support the local talent. Finally, it was time for RED THEORY to show these boys what they are made of. They opened up with 'Faceless', which received a great crowd response. The boys stage presence was stronger than ever. Chaz jumped onto the floor several times to mosh with the audience, all while not missing a line of the songs. (Thanks to Foothills for hooking them up with a wireless mic!!) Eric, who enjoys scaring others, jumped off the top of his stack onto the stage. Jefe played all over the stage, catering to those rocking out in front. Leo even got on the mic to thank all the fans for their support. Before they closed the set with 'Ded Lites', they played their cover of 'Fight For Your Right'. The crowd participation was incredible and RED THEORY fed off their energy to play that much harder. During their set the boys from Smash TV were filming, much to my luck since the copious amounts of alcohol I had consumed in attempt to keep up with the RED THEORY boys seemed to impair my ability to use a video camera. (Days later while RED THEORY reviewed the tape, they find my drunk ass along with mister RX Doug trying to figure out why the video camera "wasn't working".) After their set, the venue boomed with cheers and clapping. It was certainly a well deserved applause.

Before I end this I have to give props to Emination for not only putting this whole thing together, but for tearing up the stage and sending the crowd into an enjoyable frenzy. RED THEORY is more than anxious to reunite with the NY band and are happy to hear the feeling is mutual. The long trip to NY was more than worth it and as much as we enjoyed the city, RED THEORY definitely left their mark on Oneonata.

You missed this night so I suggest you do not miss another! RED THEORY will not disappoint you in any shape or form. Be sure to check out these upcoming shows!!
