The Grinning Like An Idiot Post

I have been meaning to jump on LJ and make a post for sometime now - I'm always caught with the urge to post at just the wrong moment when I can only be on here fleetingly checking my flist, trying (usually futilely) to lessen the tab count and doing my usual twitter, fb and email check.

So this post is brought to you by the letter W which ( Read more... )

What an epic post! Great to hear from you. I find that time to play in fan-land is scarce these days - except the occasional drive-bys.

Love your comments on SPN. It's the one show I rarely talk about, but love like crazy. My son has become an avid fan too, which is fun. How exciting that you are going to a con! I'm going to have to email my friend who lives there in Melbourne and tell her about it. She left LJ quite a while ago, but when she was last in the states, she visited me in Chicago and we spent one day at an SPN con! You should meet her, I don't know that she has any fannish friends there.

Also enjoyed your comments on SV. You have such a wonderful optimism in your show enjoyment. It's refreshing, since I've not been as endeared to the show as I once was. Although, I think it's more about what a "different" show it feels like, not from actually hating a lot of what's happening. I have enjoyed watching Tom as Clark more than ever, and Erica is doing a fantastic job too. I've always gotten a kick out of Ollie and I love Tess like crazy. So, I'm happy those 4 are all "in the know" now and curious to see how the season will progress from here.

Those Corgi pups! I want! Sadly, my kitties and my dog-allergic kids would NOT be as thrilled.

Whoo hoo on the projection screen! A few of my friends have that and it's awesome! We've thought about it, but finding a good blackout room is tough. Maybe one day we'll make it work in the basement. My one friend used some special black paint on the walls of their movie room and that is what acts as the screen. Enjoy!

You know that Walking Dead has been picked up for another season, right? :) Sunday nights are Dexter/Walking Dead nights for us. Really loving both of those shows this season.
