BKK REPORT - WT 2012
i've gone to Bangkok for about 5 days and 4 nights.
it's such an awesome memories.
i had a great time visiting many places with their rich cultures.
i enjoyed wasting my money by shopping greedily.
and i treasured those 12 hours waiting in line for l'arc :)
i was at the airport when i heard they would arrive soon at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, but I missed it because of my stupidity.
I was at the Khaosan Road one day, and when i arrived at the hostel, there's news that the boys were at Khaosan Road that moment. So I missed them again.
I saw the Intercontinental Hotel where they slept, but couldn't do anything, since I wasn't crazy enough to wait patiently, hoping they would stepped out.
I bought the goods when I was waiting. I got the premium package! YAY! But I didnt buy the pamphlet because it's soft cover, hummm....
I was in the standing area inside IMPACT ARENA. I was so lucky to be quite close to the boys. My heart beated fast when i was waiting for the curtain to fall down. The big ball like we usually saw during LINK were throwed to the arena, for killing time.
And then at about 20.20, the show began…
(i'm sorting the sequence of the song by looking at the setlist at L'arc comm, apologizing first for not taking notes at the concert Orz.
But actually I'm pretty sure that XXX is the third song, and good luck my way came after hitomi no juunin)
1. OPENING
the big screen showed a butterfly flies above the city. and then the frame was cut to an image of a pair of beautiful eyes. Hyde's eyes. I ain't bluffing, it really was VERY CAPTIVATING. The camera kept zooming into those deep and sparkling eyes, then moved down to hyde's palm which catched the butterfly. And suddenly the screen zoomed out, with some kind of CG-animation-feel, hyde punched the screen, and it cracked.
The screen turned brighter, it showed the name of all cities they'll visit at the world tour. Crowd went crazy XDD, then became crazier when 4 robotic aliens appeared on the screen and being introduced as hyde, ken, tetsuya, and yukihiro.
2. IBARA NO NAMIDA
Hyde started singing very smoothly, with a deep-soothing voice. But the crowd in standing area were eagerly sing along, so i couldn't hear that superb voice clearly. and it happened upon all 5 first songs. Ibara no namida is fire, it's hot. literally and figuratively XDD
3. CHASE
People started jumping and pushing. We all got excited. Yukki's drum and hyde's snake move made us wanna dance as well.
When Hyde said, "I'm chasing you!" I'm sure he looked straight and stabbed me right to the eyes. *bias* LOL!
And on the 3rd line of the last verse, fans shouted, "ONIGOKKO!" together with tetsu, and then this genki leader with flashy-yellow vest SMILED! hahhaha i think he didn't expect that fans knew the right timing to say that word.
4. GOOD LUCK MY WAY
I really like this song. When I first heard it live in Ajinomoto Stadium, I felt this song was a right soundtrack for l'arc's journey. And I'm still thinking the same. So this genki song and the "shinjiru michi e" part really pumped my faith into the next level ^^
5. HYDE MC
He greeted us in Thai language (Sawatdeekrab). Asked whether we were ready to have fun. He carried his guitar, so we all knew what song was next…
6. HONEY
Actually I'm not a big fan of honey, but the energy at the arena that time was so overwhelming, so I wanted to fly….
7. DRINK IT DOWN
GOD! HYDE'S LOW VOICE WAS SUPER SEXY!!! He bent to his knee and the wind blowed towards him, my mind also has been blown away together with the scene of his hair waving naturally. And his whisper at the end of every lyric's line….GARRRRRHHH! I can't take it! And the expression leader made when he shouted the backing vocal was UBER CUTE!!! I don't know but when you see Tetsu directly, without media barrier, you can feel his charisma, that he's very superior, very cool, but charming at the same time. He has a glowing skin, or maybe I was blinded by his aura XD. No wonder he's being called the fearless leader.
8. REVELATION
I have to use both hands, one after another, for keeping out shouting while punching my fist to the air. I can't imagine how hard the audience at Kyocera Dome Osaka had to bear with it. LOL!
Hyde also made a gesture to persuade us shouting more and more. This time, Hyde didn't stand on top of amplifier, but Tetsu did walk into the center of the stage! He swayed his hand at the same time we shouted "HEY!" with his mouth open like screaming, his cute habit ^^.
9. HITOMI NO JUUNIN
The intro has already made my eyes teary!! BUT I HATE I COULDN'T HEAR HYDE'S VOICE CLEARLY BECAUSE PEOPLE STARTED SCREAMING ALONG, yes not SINGING ALONG! But luckily last half of the song people started to behave, I think they're too mesmerized by the beauty of the tunes like I was. oh my god, it was so fucking beautiful! the band played this song perfectly.
10. XXX
Nothing much to say at this song. More less it's the same as their performance on TV show.
But I realized that hyde's snake dance has a lot of varieties XDD. There are hot snake, playful snake, sexy snake, childish snake, flirty snake, energetic snake, and so on… (okay, pardon me for being silly).
AND HYDE CONTINUED TO SHOW HIS SEXY SHOULDER MAIGOOOODD!! He intentionally let loose the strap of his underwear Tshirt!!
11. FATE
THIS IS ONE OF THE SONGS I ALWAYS WANT TO HEAR LIVE!!! THANK GOD!
Deep and dark. This suffocated feeling when you hear it, like hardly breath. It's an emotional song even though I've never remembered the english translation. Ken's guitar was playing a big role for this. The way he strummed the guitar string, flowed throughout the melody….ahhh….
The best part:
nani ga ai nano ka? nani ga uso nano ka?
wakaranai.... tada kimi dake ga koishii…
12. FORBIDDEN LOVER
Thing I remember the most was the background at the big screen. It showed a lady crying, and plunged into the water, in blue. omg it's very beautiful…
Seems like the cameraman has already anticipated hyde's tears, so at the part when hyde sang "forbidden….lover…." and tetsu answered with, "hhaaa…" the big screen only showed hyde's eyes. it's like a crystal water which could break at anytime. but it didn't :,)
13. MY HEART DRAWS A DREAM
okay, we all know that this song began with ken's peaceful melody. The tunes brought you to the land where fairies live, and they asked you to join them circling up in the air by hugging each other.
It's a great song, I still feel like crying while typing this. Hyde's voice was like purifying the atmosphere.
When we sang "yume o egaku yo" together, hyde kept answering, "our hearts draw a dream" with his falsetto. That feeling, like you know you have someone who always watches your back, someone who will always pats your shoulder and says "go on…"
And at the end of the song, there's something that I think hyde's never do.
"Oritayatte kanata de, me o aketara…aa…
Egao no mama no kimi ni…
Aeru to….," he stopped and wait for us.
"…ii na…" we finished the song together. *cry*

14. KEN MC
He tried to be genki, I know. I love him for still making the mood. He's so funny, I can't admire Ken for more :,)
He said that He ate at some restaurant, and the waitress was so cute. He bought some souvenirs for yukki! HHAHAHHAHAAH IT'S SO ADORABLE! AFTER HYDE, NOW IT'S YUKKI'S TURN!
Ken gave him a pair of cymbal, you know like ones the monkey doll in hurry xmas PV had in its hands. And a blue tshirt printed with " I ♥ Thailand, Thailand ♥ Me". Then yukki put the Tshirt in front of his body, like someone trying to see if it's fit. *MUKYAAAAA IT'S SO CUTEEE* After that he looked at the audience who kept screaming yukki's name, then clapping the cymbals with no expression. *DIED OF ANDROID SICKNESS*
Ken got back to his cheat paper, and told us that there was more to say, but it's so hard to pronounce. So several times he raised his hand telling us to wait while he digested the words XDD.
Ken: ENJOOOOY?!!
crowd: YEAHHHH!! *of course we enjoyed it!!*
Ken: ENJOOOOOYYYYY?!!!! *again, harder*
crowd: *scramed like crazy*
Ken: SEVENTH HEAVEN!
15. SEVENTH HEAVEN
JUMPING JUMPING JUMPING!!!
Ken walked into the audience near his side, I'm happy that he can maintain with his health ^^.
Hyde squatted in front of the first row audience and made us sang the "under your feet" part. He smiled he laughed, ahhhh I can die in peace now.
16. DRIVER'S HIGH
CLASH!! FLASH!!
WOOOOWWW, SUGOKATTA!! we were like a vrooming car, the gas pedal was stepped until maximum! VROOOMMM!!!
Audience and Hyde screamed the "kakedashite" part together without control, man….IT'S AWESOME!
oh, there's a haitsu moment in this song. it happened at ken's side, since i was on tetsu's side, so idk what was exactly happened. from my position it looked like hyde linked his arm around tetsu's neck and then kissed him on the cheek! i didn't see at the big screen, so i can't confirm the truth. some people said that hyde just turned his head toward tetsu's face. They shared a warm gaze to each other's eyes. whatever really happened, i'm still happy XDDD.
17. STAY AWAY
Tetsu threw the banana, then played the bass without it. While kept playing, he and his staggered walk approached 3 colorful big speakers at the back. Then, it started!
The screen played some stick men dancing the stay away choreography ^^.
At this song, I was remembering about what I tried to see in dvd but can't because it didn't get the shoot. and i remember. TETSU'S FINGERS DANCING ON THE BASS'S STRINGS! Whoooo, that long and feminine fingers but still so masculine with its delicate roughness…. slurp! *okay, enough of my fetish for tetsu's fingers*
The claps accompanied hyde' strong voice and tetsu's high note. But the claps still didn't stop even though the song had come to an end. We cheered as loud as we can because of the super amazing atmosphere the band could create.
18. READY STEADY GO
"ARE YOU FUCKIN READYYYYYYY?!!!!*
People couldn't stop sing along through this entire song. and it's great! For a lively song like this!
At the end, YUKKI'S DRUM SOLO!
The tempo was just very stable, slow or super fast, still very stable. The bass drums made its own melody, so if you closed your eyes, felt like there's somebody else playing beside him. IT'S HILARIOUS! The crowd shouted, "WHOY!" at some part. we did it naturally together because the tempo was very clear and good! Then the speed went beyond! i can't describe it with words. he's just very cool…he ended the solo by putting the drum sticks in front of his chest and bowed a little ^^
17. ENCORE
The audience made the infamous waves! although it wasn't as neat as the japanese fans did, but close enough XDD
About 10 minutes later, a disco ball lowered from the ceiling. We knew it would be a mellow song.
I didn't know who started, but we ended up singing anata in harmony. Suddenly, a keyboard melody played by Takeyuki Hatano floated beautifully. We sang along with our dry throats, then a bright white light shone over us. For 5 minutes we kept singing, didn't care for anything else, just drowned by the blinding rays. Who expected throughout that trance situation of us singing soulfully, couldn't see anything but white, L'arc already there, standing on the stage, watching us. I felt precious and meaningful. :,))
18. ANATA
I can only remember the overflowing-heartwarming melody, the voice, the piano, the violin, the drums, the guitar, the bass. the waving lightsticks. Everything was just very emotional so that it brought tears to my eyes.
19. WINTERFALL
Ahhhh… I always love the beginning of this song…
So I just absorbed the whole song, but then something distracted my solemn moment.
HAITSU HAPPENED AGAIN, NOW IN FRONT OF MY THANTRUM! At first tetsu acted like he didn't want to be approached by hyde, but he kept secretly staring at him XDDDD. Interesting leader! hmmm, i bet hyde know tetsu's behavior more than i am, so hyde got closed to tetsu and hugged him! they sang part of the song together. Lovely!
20. BLURRY EYES
My eyes in fact still blurry when this song was played XDDD, but I had to be in eagle mode in order to be ready for hyde's whistle. XDDD

20.5 TETSU MC
no need for translator, i'm sure he said, "do you want to eat my banana?!" XDDD
but what's funny is that he didn't have the cheat paper, he had cheat banana! yes, he wrote the thai language in his banana *real banana i mean XD*. so when he said the mc, the banana was in front of him, like a running text XDDD. Cute tetsu! no matter how many wrinkles are there in his face, with his behavior he could stay as a child till forever.
After threw the banana, he greet us with his genki WASSHOI!
ah, hyde forgot the lyrics AGAIN at this song XDDD. Somehow I realized and agreed that hyde tried to have various style of singing, his voice when singing blurry eyes really nearly closed to his voice back then in 1993, very nostalgic… :)
21. HYDE MC
"Ahhh…it's the end…," said my mind.
Hyde said "Thank you, it's very fun, I love you"
Then he repeated the "I love you" part in whisper. DAMN!! SO SEXY!! girls squeed madly. XDD
I also love Hyde, Ken, Tetsu, and Yukki who kept their promise to hold a live concert in Thailand, although it took 13 years to be fulfilled… :,D
22. NIJI
I couldn't hold my tears anymore. It ran down my cheek like flood. Every lyric, every bass line, every guitar line, every drum hit mean the concert was coming nearer to an end. And I cried harder and harder. Feather's everywhere, and the rainbow appeared with it's colorful pride :)
23. CLOSING
Ken and Yukki left the arena first. Hyde said thank you, bowed at us. Tetsu threw 4 bananas to every sides. As far as he can. Hahhahaha it's so cute seeing him used so much power to throw the mukimpo.
Tetsu: *say goodbye in Thai*
crowd: *cheered*
Tetsu: MATA NEEE!!
crowd: MATA NEEEEEEE….!!!!
it's very short, i'm sad but i'm also very glad on the other hand :)
EXTRA NOTE
The idiotic vocalist always did something dorky every time the other members replaced him on the center stage. he had a chat with a fan (cosplayed as the bloody bride with wedding dress, like hyde did at halloween party) who sat at SN (the seat right at the end of tetsu's side), played with his glowstick, meanwhile tetsu and ken were still doing their solo. BAKA!
And every time he went to the very side of the stage, he always did flirting!! GAAARRRRHHH!!! HE LET HIMSELF TO BE TOUCHED!!!! JEALOUSYYYYYYYY OVERLOAD!!
The charismatic leader were very genki at the concert. He smiled a lot, He jumped a lot, He ran a lot. I was blending happily with that playful moment. His voice when singing or talking did melt me. He looked very tall by the way, I don't know if it's because of his boots. But this taller-effect and his ginger hair made he looked so bright and handsome!!
The funny guitarist wasn't at his top condition. I think he's still sick. That's why I can't remember much about Ken. When the concert just began, he's trying to move a lot, but that's it. At hitomi no juunin he immediately sat at his position. At encore he just handed his guitar to the staff then walked to the backstage. At the end he waved and just disappeared. As far as I remember, he didn't take off his sunglasses, didn't smoke, nearly never ran from side to side like he always do, AND NO GUITARGASM! I've tried to shout "Kenchan, genki ni natte!" at him, but I think he's too sick to respond :(. I hope he get well soon, since the temperature in Shanghai is 6 degrees while Bangkok is 35 degrees.
The shy drummer is shy but strong XDDD. Yukki is shy, he's not cool! *being beaten by the awaji clan XDDD* The image of him doing silly things innocently and unnoticed is very uncommon, so it's an amazing moment!! When he tidied up his bangs between songs, when he fixed his sitting pose, when I realized he's just wearing a T shirt and the arm muscles were seen from that skinny body. *died of massive nosebleed*
