Character

Name: Remilia Scarlet
Fandom: Touhou Project
Gender: Female
Age: 500 years old
Time Period: After Scarlet Weather Rhapsody
Wing Color: Red
History: http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Remilia_Scarlet
Personality:
Remilia, is, above all, what many would call a young, spoiled noble. She’s very polite, enjoys talking, and has a very short temper. She really, really hates being left out, insulted, looked down on, or having things she considers hers taken away. That short temper makes her a very dangerous person since she’s redonkulously strong and has the tendency to break things when she’s angry. She’s also very demanding and can only have Sakuya as a maid since she can literally do everything at once.

Now you’re going, oh wow, a spoiled brat who’s a vampire. GEE I WONDER WHERE THIS IS GOING. I BET SHE KILLS HUMANS ALL THE TIME.

And that would actually be fairly faulty. She actually likes humans and, because of her small appetite, only drinks a small amount of blood from them. She honestly gets more on the front of her shirt than she actually ingests. A person would lose just as much donating their blood. Among the humans in Gensokyo, she’s no real threat since the vampires have signed a contract to never assault them. Much like a farmer would protect their milking cows, Remilia actually prefers to protect humans since they’re her source of food. When it comes to youkai, Remilia doesn’t have any qualms with killing them. After all, she can’t drink their blood and if they’re in her way, they’re a nuisance.

Despite all that, Remilia really enjoys to have fun, just like any kid. She occasionally holds parties at her mansion and will attend others depending on when they’re held. She does get frustrated when too many people are having fun in the daytime without her since she can’t travel without protection in the sun. If you can get past her short temper and large ego, she definitely makes a good friend, as Patchouli can attest to. As a testament to her large ego, she constantly claims she is a direct descendant of Vlad Tepes AKA Dracula even though that is an outright lie.

She isn’t devoid of caring, however. Her sister, Flandre, is very important to her despite her mental issues. Remilia does her best to hide Flandre from the world since it could be just as dangerous to her as she is to it. Remilia’s maid, Sakuya, is also very important to her. Without Sakuya, a lot of her selfish desires wouldn’t be completed since Remilia demands a lot and the only person who can complete those demands instantly is the maid who controls time. The vampire also holds a close relationship with Patchouli. She lives in the Scarlet Mansion with Remilia and puts up with her attitude. In return, Patchouli pretty much lives in the library and reads all the books there with Remilia occasionally stopping by for some tea or a chat.

Still, because of her attitude and power, many just prefer to avoid her, leaving her lacking in any type of permanent relationship. It’s still hard to avoid her entirely due to her curiosity. She’s out and about on a regular basis (but mostly at night) and often seen watching flowers or playing in the human village.

Strengths: (Physical, mental and emotional; PLEASE PROVIDE CANON EXAMPLES)
Physical: As a vampire, Remilia possesses many extraordinary traits. Extreme strength, extreme speed, the ability to shapeshift into a bat or create bats at a whim, and a huge constitution. It is said that as long as one of her bats remains, Remilia can regenerate her entire body. She also possesses the ability to manipulate fate. It’s unknown whether she uses it consciously or unconsciously but upon speaking with her, a person may become very lucky or very unlucky after they leave. Finally, she possesses the lance Gungnir, which is able to always accurately hit its target.

Mental: At her age, her curiosity has played a large part in her mental development. She’s intelligent and generally not phased by much. To say she’s been through quite a lot in her lifetime probably wouldn’t be too much of an exaggeration.

Emotional: To establish a noble-ish presence, Remilia strives hard to make a good first impression. What happens after that is up for grabs but she definitely tries to be polite and have fun on the first go. Also, when a Remilia gives her word, she’ll follow it to the letter. Vampires have the need to uphold any type of contract they agree to, no matter what.

Weaknesses: (Physical, mental and emotional; PLEASE PROVIDE CANON EXAMPLES)
Physical: To balance out the amazing abilities she possesses, Remilia has some pretty nasty disadvantages. Being in the sunlight for any prolonged period of time without protection will kill her. She cannot cross a moving body of water and because of that, stays holed up inside when it rains. Sardine heads and garlic are also weaknesses to her, along with thrown beans (though vampires love natto apparently). Unfortunately, stakes of wood and holy weapons have no effect on her.

Mental: Because vampires are immortal, they do not mature physically or mentally. That is to say, despite all her experiences, it’s tough for her to learn from mistakes and acting like an adult is out of her range. She’s constantly stuck with the mentality of a young child. As a matter of fact, despite the fact that she’s intelligent, she either hates or is incapable of explaining a lot of things, often falling back on Patchouli for that.

Emotional: Her short temper is her largest disadvantage. It’s easy to make her angry and ridiculously simple to piss her off if you know what buttons to push. Her huge ego also has her talking big and even if she can back up a lot of it, it’s still unwanted bragging. Despite being a decent person, these attributes make people not want to be her regular friend as they’re very likely to get hurt at some point.

Samples (ALL samples must be set in Luceti-verse.)

First Person: (Please make this a total of ten complete sentences or longer; a complete sentence contains at least one subject, one object and one verb.)
This situation is troublesome to say the least. Having seen this journal, it was clear that other people also possess these things and read them much like a comunal communal board. I refuse to drag my calls for Sakuya to this journal notebook thing. No, she would have heard me the first time. The only explanation is that I am she is currently in a place where she cannot reach me with her current level of ability.

If this thing is within your sight, I would be pleased if you could respond promptly Patchy. Waiting is dangerous enough with the sun soon to come so I must ask that you push yourself a little. The same does not apply to you at all, Flandre. Keep yourself inside until I can see you with my own eyes. We aren’t taking any risks until we have this incident fully in hand. Understand?

Signed,
Remilia Scarlet

Third Person: (Samples must be 300 words or above. Remember to write using proper grammar, verb tenses, and paragraphs.)
Hnnn, at least she could still move them. That was the only consolation she had while standing beside the tree she shattered. Make that three trees. Her anger wasn’t satiated that easily but she forced herself under control. Those were her beautiful wings that were taken away in replacement for these pitiful hunks of feather. The thought of not being able to look menacing at night would pick at the edge of her brain constantly. Whoever did this was definitely next in line for death.

It definitely wasn’t the witch. She was sneaky but loudly sneaky. She wouldn’t have put it past the shrine maiden though. Her or that horrible character who hid the moon. No, it had to be her. It was clearly revenge for bringing back what was rightfully Remilia’s. She would definitely pay...in a few seconds.

“Sakuyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”

Remilia yelled for her maid. Once she was properly taken care of and into her actual clothes, she would take her maid and go get revenge. ’Stupid woman...being such an obstacle in her life. She just couldn’t leave well enough alone, could she?’

Her feet unconsciously started tapping and she started to wonder what was taking so long. Even though it hadn’t even been a minute, it was still far too late. Sakuya was always there nearly instantly after she called with whatever she needed. Remilia’s face slowly turned into a massive frown and the ground under her feet began to suffer from her tapping.

They had taken away her maid.

Of all the things to suffer, this was one of the most insulting she had experienced yet. Taking her maid was like removing her life blood. Her own nobility. Wasn’t a maid a sign of being upper class? Having someone cook and do all the work for you was a show of power and that had been forcibly dragged from her possession. Her vision turned red at the thought.

Yes, it would take a lot more than three trees to calm her down.

application, ooc
