Since I've been born, two space shuttles have exploded, and it was nearly ten years before I was born since the last time we stood on another rock than Earth.
I've seen the creation of MS DOS and the first successful portable computer, and the leap from 160kB being a lot of data on a disk to a cheap ($100) portable 1 TB drive.

2.3 billion more people on alive.
Commercial use of the internet happened when I was in grade school
GPS was developed while I was in highschool.
The rise and now fall of the Compact Disk.
The rise and now fall of the DVD
The birth of the MP3 and file sharing.
The concept of digital piracy.
The fall of the Berlin Wall and the USSR. End of the Cold War.
The discovery of AIDS, and then, HIV.
MTV goes on the air, and plays music. Then stops playing music.
New Coke comes and goes.
Birth of the Discovery Channel
DNA starts being used in criminal trials
Mir comes.. and goes
The ISS goes gets started.
The Chunnel gets made.
Exxon Valdez spill
Invasion of Granada
The Gulf War, Iraq War, Invasion of Panama, War in Somalia

So, I started this, with thinking about how amazing thing have been, and how they've changed. Then I started thinking more, and.. Well you see how the list ends. Over all, I still think good things have happened. I like living now.
