so my options are to donate money to the organization or i can personally adopt a soldier and must send one letter every week and one or two care packages a month. the average length of an adoption is six to twelve months. i think i'm going to do this. i don't know why this idea struck a chord in me, as opposed to all the other "helping others" options i've come across lately. you'd think i'd want to help animals or something...
EDIT: i'm asking myself if i can commit to this for a year. i want to. the cost of stamps is minimal and the care packages can cost as little or as much as i can afford. i want to do more than just donate something because it's the holidays, then spend the next 11 months all mememememe. can i get to the post office twice a month? i had a zappos box in my room for months before i made it to the ups store to return it. where IS the post office around these parts?
EDIT#2: I DID IT I DID IT! i used the paypal instant approval method and adopted a marine. gotta go balance my checkbook and get started on letter writing and care packaging.
