Why are mobsters glorified? I can't for the life of me figure this out. Movies and shows like Scarface, Sopranos, The Godfather, and Analyze This (and That) show these filthy criminals as heroes and want to make you, the audience, want to feel bad for them when something doesn't go their way. If I see another lame Al Pacino Scarface poster, I might lose it. Why do people feel bad for them or think they are cool when watching these movies? Mobsters are usually fat, hairy foreigners (not that I have anything against fat, hairy foreigners) who make their money through stealing, conning, and even murdering. These fat, lazy mobsters aren't even well-versed or even good-looking, usually. They don't really posses any real sangfroid. They don't adhere to the laws that everyone else has to, in fact, they are above the law in most situations. Whenever I see these stupid movies or shows, I hope that their empires built upon lying and deception come crashing down and the rest of the movie/series is spent showing them paying for their committed crimes. Call me crazy, but I'm not a fan of criminals and people who are above the law, but hey, that is just me. Merry Christmas everyone, by the way!
