I finished the assembly and hems for my Italian working class dress. Yay! Now to make lots of lacing holes...six on each sleeve, seven on each dress shoulder...three and a half of seven done on one shoulder. Then anchor and reinforce the skirt pleats, sew down the edges of the bodice guards, fingerloop a second lacing cord and put aiglets on both. After which the dress is done, done done. Oh yes, and hem the hunk of blue linen I've got for an aprons. But it should be wearable by TMT on Memorial Day weekend the end of May, an usable as an entry in Summer Art-Sci Faire IF I can get my documentation completed by then.
But I need to work on my Realm of Venus challenge piece. I think I'll start with the partlet. I can be worn with my other Italian dresss so it will feel good to have a nice partlet for a change, all my others are in dreadful shape and I haven't ever made one in linen..
