After the wedding, we didn't go on a honeymoon, instead, we ended up in Boston for a few days.
We woke up in the morning around 9, and Brian was still a little sleepy. We didn't have any plans, so I went downstairs to look for Blue Man Group tickets (who knows why I thought of that). They had Sunday night tickets at 5, so I thought that would be great to go and then have dinner at Fire and Ice afterwards.
We went over to my parents to pick up some of the stuff and told them the plan. Then we headed out to the Olive Garden for lunch. While there, my mom called and offered to put us in a hotel for Sunday and Monday night at Boston. We were both thrilled! So we left Olive Garden, returned the tuxes, and went home to pack.
Down in Boston, we checked into the Omni Parker House Hotel- which was gorgoues! Then we walked to Blue Man Group, (so much fun!!) and then to dinner. After dinner, we walked and ended up at a bar for the first half of the Giant game. Then we got a cab because Jen can't read a map.
Back at the hotel, there were champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. We watched the game, ordered room service (pizza and a bottle of wine) and then we don't need to discuss what happened next...
In the morning, we had breakfast in bed, showered, and then tried to plan our day. We wanted to do a gondola ride, and then a harbor dinner cruise. The dinner cruise was booked, and the gondola was closed. So we got a bunch of stuff to look through. I saw that the Red Sox were playing, and I called and got 2 tickets!
After showering, we headed to Faneuil Hall (half a block away). We did build-a-bear (Boston Bob) had lunch, and then some more shopping. We dropped off our stuff at the hotel, and then took a cab over to the Fenway Park area. Our plan was to go to 5wits, which is a museum that was doing a pharoah exhibit. We got there, and it was closed on Monday!!
Luckily, there was a movie theater across the street. We went in, and Bourne Ultimatium happened to be playing in 10 minutes. So we grabbed some popcorn and watched that (Very good). We went got out, we had ice cream and picked up the tickets. It looked like it was going to rain... We went to a bar and had a drink, and then went into the game.
It didn't rain! We had the best time. THe hot dogs are SOOO good there, and Brian had about 6 more beers, and I had about 1/4 of a beer (I hate beer). Afterwards, we walked back to the hotel (about 3 miles) and walked through boston commons. At the hotel, we had a bubble bath, and finished the wine, and then well.. more of that.
In the morning, we left, came home, had lunch, and went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought bed stuff with our gift cards. THen we BOUGHT A NEW PRINTER!! WOOT WOOT! Now it's pizza time, and then bed and work in the morning.
Married life is good!
