There's a whole bunch of completely unrelated stuff going on right now, so I'm going to try but most likely fail to make it a little more organized with a list:
1. My cousins. They're visiting us this this week, which is perfect because the Sox are playing the D-Backs. Because they used to live here (as in Jersey) first, my one cousin is still a Yankees fan, so we've been arguing with each other, but so far the worst we've done is stolen each other's hats to throw them over the neighbor's fence and changed each other's cell phone backgrounds (I predict the feud will get worse as the week goes on, especially with my brother on my side). We played an intense game of kids vs. adults wiffle ball, and then we went out to dinner.
2. The Sox. With Josh on the mound (even against the super-awesome Dan Haren), I expected a win, but that didn't exactly happen. One awesome thing did happen, though (even though a win would have been better)--the place where we ate dinner was covered in TVs (including three that were placed perfectly in front of me), so I asked my uncle (not the one from Arizona) to ask one of the waitresses he knew to put the Sox game on. Instead of just putting ESPN on one of the TVs, she put FSN Arizona on one TV, NESN HD on another, and ESPN HD on the TV right between those two. There wasn't any sound, but it was still really awesome to watch the same game on three different channels. If only we could have won...
3. The Diamondbacks. I have to admit that Mark Reynolds' catch was really awesome. And JD Drew's brother? He's pretty good. I know it's kind of weird because of his brother and all, but (especially because I had three views of him--in HD!) I just couldn't stop looking at him. Justin better pull off a win tonight or my cousins are going to keep bugging me about it tomorrow.
4. Guitar Hero On Tour. It's a new game (it came out on Sunday) for the Nintendo DS, and it's really awesome. It's kind of hard to get used to at first because holding it is a little awkward (as you can see in the
demo video), but I'm already used to it. It has a bunch of newer songs, such as stuff by Maroon 5, Blink-182, and Daughtry. Plus, it's portable, which means I can play Guitar Hero anywhere (until my battery dies).
5. Clarinet Sectionals. I'm a section leader for this year's marching unit clarinet section, so we're having a practice at my house tomorrow. I'm really excited for meeting all of the incoming freshmen because they're always really cute and sometimes a little bit afraid of us upperclassmen. I'll probably have a bunch of these over the summer to prepare the new people for the craziness of band camp.
6. My Other Cousins. Over the weekend, I'm going to be visiting my cousins in Massachusetts, and these ones won't chase me around the backyard with water guns for liking the Sox. Plus, I get to watch NESN and spend all of my money on even more Sox apparel. It's too bad we're playing in Houston, though; I probably could have convinced my uncle to take me to Fenway...
