Weight Clause In Schilling's Contract

$2 million of the $5 million in incentives is tied to the weight that Schilling is when he comes into Spring Training. Am I the only one humored by that?

I think that's actually a good move by the Red Sox. It's surprising to me how much some baseball players gain.

Me too! The only thing better would be if he was with the Nationals, since they're closer and aren't really competition for the Sox. But at least with the O's, we get to see them play the Sox fairly frequently so that's awesome.
