a topic for debate I guess...
I was just reading a Gordon Edes mailbag on Boston.com, and one writer asked him why the Sox re-upped Tito now as opposed to waiting, 'because he is an awful in-game manager'.
Now I'm as much of a fan as anyone -been following strong since the late 80's.
The team, under Francona, has done the impossible one year, and won over 90 games the next year. I'm completely open to opinion on this, but I'm wondering....how does strong winning record over the last two years make him an awful in-game manager? I only ask this, because I have heard this criticism of him before on 'EEI and such.
