The move is on!
We just spent the past three days in SLC. It's actually a cute little town. People kept warning us to avoid the freeways during rush hour, which would be great advise. BUT, there is no real rush hour. The freeways there from 3 - 7 pm look like Seattle's on a a quiet Sunday afternoon. We're going to definitely like the commute!
We found two houses that will work for us, and put in applications for both. Now we wait till Monday to hear...I hate waiting...
If neither house comes through, everything goes into storage, and move into temporary housing for 30 days while we continue to look. I'd really rather move straight into a house, so the critters don't have to go through two moves, but we'll do what we have to.
It looks like the good bye party is going to have to wait, cause the movers are showing up Tuesday and we're gone on Thursday...this is CRAZY! So much to do, so little time.
Rin is quietly hyperventilating, and we're already planning her first visit down, and maybe my first visit up. Growing up sucks some times.
An update on Shush. He does have cancer. We had another spot removed this week, and have agreed on an ongoing treatment/watch program for him. As long as he continues to be in no pain, eats like the mini-horse he is, and plays, we will continue watching the spots and remove them as needed. When we get beyond that point, we'll have to put him down. I do not look forward to that day!
