I just had a panicky realization that my gums are in horrible, horrible shape. Smoking and poor flossing are not helping my cause, but ultimately this is a family trait that I must lay claim to. These gums are icky and puffy and white, and there is a faint taste of copper in my mouth.
And there's not a damn thing I can do about it. I am maxed out for dental insurance this year, and when I resume treatment next year I will just have to start all over (very painful, time consuming sessions) and get maxed out again before the process is complete. The vicious cycle has begun. I'll have a mouth full of toothless rot by the time I'm 30.
Just thought I'd share that with you all. Enjoy your day.
UPDATE: I completely and utterly overreacted. My gums are not that bad. However, I might in fact be a hypochondriac.
