I predicted a sophomore slump this offseason as well as that the running QB attack had to change. I didn't think it would be OUTRIGHT ABANDONED THOUGH.
I see us being competitive just because the Eagles can't keep up a whole season doing what they did to us Week 1 and the Giants/Cowboys are having similar struggles to us. If all else fails, at least we get to play the AFC West where there are almost 2 guaranteed W's (and 1 guaranteed L against the Broncos) and a Chargers game that could go either way. I figure we were unstoppable at the end of last year, and for some reason Shanahan's one redeeming quality is he always seems to beat the Cowboys, so I am not giving up hope just yet. RG3 has mostly eliminated his preseason rust, and besides the Broncos and 49ers, we have already faced our toughest opponent of the season and helped crack the code of how to beat the Eagles.
I think we'll beat the Lions because if ever there's a team with a worse secondary and more game-losing penalties, it's them. If Reggie Bush were healthy, I think the Lions would have the edge. BOLD PREDICTION: Matt Stafford is due for a season-ending injury, and our D-Line will do it.
