http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7959267/washington-redskins-dallas-cowboys-cap-penalty-appeals-denied The Redskins and Cowboys appealed the $36M and $10M penalties, respectively, against their salary caps for overloading contracts during the uncapped 2010 season. Today, a league arbitrator denied those appeals. This means that the Redskins will go forward for two years having with a salary cap that is $18M lower than the rest of the league.
Thank goodness for the rookie salary limit; otherwise, they couldn't have afforded to draft RG3. As it is, it's going to be difficult for them to re-sign the players they need to stick around.
