I need to sublet a room for June and my subletter for my current place backed out (my brother - he's decided to move to Quebec instead...). Thus if any of you want a place or know someone who is looking, help!

A room is opening at the Chateau Noir, a huuuuge house at 2057 East 1st Ave. Available for at least the month of June, easily longer (e.g. the summer) or indefinitely if you and the current roommates like each other.
Good-sized room, unfurnished as of now but I can probably arrange to lend you at least a bed for the first month. Rent is $320-$340 per month depending on number of roommates. Generally 6-7 people live at this house. Low-key punk house, everyone who lives here is really friendly, kind and respectful. The house is mostly vegetarian (the meat-eating roommate is away for the summer) with occasional forays into fish.
Pros = free laundry, big kitchen, 2 full baths, parking, bike storage available, good storage space, two porches, a barbecue, 2 cute and sweet and chill dogs, lotsa room, and music equipment. And we even just did our second spring-clean so everything is pretty spiffy.
However, the house is also high traffic (everyone's friends stay here a lot) and there are occasional punk shows here and band practices. Maybe you like that sort of thing! If you need a quiet calm house, this is not a particularly quiet, calm house. It is chock full of some of my favourite roommates ever, who make tasty food and play music and like to hang out with each other. General house vibe is on the anarcho-punk end of the spectrum.
