Greetings from Not-my-laptop
*My brother just called me saying that I should, under no circumstances open anything Yahoo today as there’s a virus going around the search engine and YahooMessenger that crashed every single computer in his office and elsewhere. I am NOT taking any changes with my laptop because it contains my beautiful downloaded hard-to-find-anywhere-else movies, the ramblings/plot bunnies/half-done stories that lay claim to a good portion of my brain, and also every bit of my schoolwork over my last three years at college.
So, right now, I am LJ-ing from a nearby computer shop(hey, THEY have better virus-control than I do! :P) and wondering if any of you guys have heard of that? Not another virus of ILOVEYOU proportions, is it? I hope your computers are all safe!
*For those who don’t know yet and might be interested, there’s a three-sentence ficathon going on over at caramelsilver ’s journal. It’s the first one I’ve ever participated in and I’m having such fun! I’m using it to try and banish the “my-writing-sucks-why-do-I-even-try” monster lately that’s been hanging around me (right now, it’s left my drabbling ability alone but it is still cackling whenever I go near my in-progress oneshots. DIE, evil thing!)
This is my favorite of the fics I’ve written there so far-I am sharing it here because there’s a couple of you that I know will be so amused by it:
