Love it! I especially love Martha Plimpton as the narrator because yes, I can totally see that. And lol @ Andrew Garfield.

I knowww. OH CHRIS CHAMBERS. Guaranteed to give me a feelings explosion, no matter what age I am. I never really understood the expression “a smile can break your heart” until I saw the one he gives at the end to Gordie.

GAH, I WANT IT TO HAPPEN SO BAAAD. I keep having visions of them walking and bantering on the tracks, detailed down to the 50’s hairstyles…*hugs image weepily*

I would stan Hailee!Chris and Gordie!Elle’s friendship so hard. <3 Funny thing: when I went pic-searching, I saw that they’d done some photoshoots together. I didn’t realize they already knew each other! Would make Chris and Gordie’s BFF chemistry all the more believable. : )

Um. Hon. I have not seen this movie (travesty! I know! I'll get to it at some point!), but I can tell just by looking at this that your casting is PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT. I am aflail! How can I be so in love with this when I don't even know the original?

Oh, do! From what I’ve seen, people come to love it even without the nostalgia filter. Chris and Gordie were like my proto-Tony/Sid, except babies and way kinder to each other.

I am grinning hard that you approve so much, though I’m not surprised! :P Tbh, I’m going into genderswap withdrawal symptoms (lol) where I want them to do this and it will never happen and look at them all and WHYYY! *sob*

I HAD TO. There was an actual deer. In the actual film. It was canonically a female deer. Andrew is Bambi. The planets might never align like this again.

I loved your choices! And the first picture you have of the four girls is from Now and Then, right? I am also quite fond of that film.

Yes it is! I am fond of that film too and I couldn't resist using it as a banner: the cast's hair colors even match the girls' in my swap. :D
