^Madeleine L'Engle
+ I just heard that Judy Blume’s
Tiger Eyes is going to be made into a movie, as is Madeleine L’Engle’s
Camilla. I wonder if this is going to be a new trend: classic slice-of-life YA books getting turned into movies. I mean: the movie studios are still snatching up the rights to Paranormal Romance novels, aren’t they? And I think

I never really got into Madeline L'Engle, for some reason. I'm thinking maybe I should now, better late than never!
I've been trying to push through Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan, but for some reason I can't get into it right now (I hate when that happens, it's not that the book doesn't interest me or isn't good, I'm just not in the mood at the moment, whatever that mood is).
I keep going back to my incredibly guilty pleasure, historical romance novels. *headdesk* They are sooo bad but sooo good.
I also have a random craving for Dickens, an author I've never really read.
Also, thoughts on Cassandra Clare's books?
SORRY FOR THE RAMBLE, but good God I love books of all kinds!

YES. I remember reading it and feeling this rawness. Like pain and healing at the same time. Gahhh, I hope that the movie captures all of that. Especially Davey’s relationships with her mom and brother and that close friendship with Wolf.
You know, I used to think of Wolf as this ~rough older man~ (I blame the 80’s book cover XD) but now I think, dang he is so young to be going through all that, poor guy. Wonder how he keeps himself together.

Oh, yes! With the way she writes, I think her fans never feel too old for her books.

Those moods are so weird, aren’t they? I have some Holly Black books next to my bed that I know I will like just based on the narration and the premise, but for some reason, can’t get into them right now. Same with the fourth Queen’s Thief book by Megan Whalen Turner. But good luck with Leviathan!
I’m not really interested in checking out Cassandra Claire’s books because of her dodgy fandom history. But then I tried the first few chapters of one (the Bones one or maybe the sequel) when it first came out, and it wasn’t my cup of tea, so.

Oooh, might those include Philippa Gregory? My sister loooves her books. I think one of these days, I’ll get sucked into her copy of The Other Boleyn Girl just because it is entertaining in that court-gossipy kind of way. XD
And ramble away! Especially when it's about books!
