That was so, so surreal. I can't count how many times I thought "THIS IS SO BIZARRE"
Is it just me or do Matty and Liv have the most awkward kisses ever?
Everything Matty did smacked of "I have done this before, it's no big deal". Where oh where is that boy living when he's not in Nick's house?
Ohhhh, they're brothers. Okay, I'm very interested in that. I am all for Skins siblings. Tony-Effy? Katie-Emily? Freddie-Karen? I loved those relationships to bits. It's about time the show explored a brother-brother bond.
Though I was a bit alarmed by Nick saying that Matty's 'a psycho'. I hope he was exaggerating because I don't want another James frakking Cook.
Liv was so hollowin this episode. It seemed out-of-character from her spicy behavior in Mini's episode. She loves Mini and she's the only one who loves Mini, but who's there to love Liv? That's what this episode was asking over and over again.
DAMN IT, Mini. I can see why Freya Mavor always makes an effort to distance herself from the character. Fabulous actress, cruel character. You just...don't tell your verging-on-suicidal best friend to drink something that could poison her. NO.
I hope the show doesn't go ahead with Franky/Mini. Let it stay in popular fanon and out of canon. I LIKE Franky, and she should not be with anyone who chooses to act so horribly. Especially with Franky's past of being bullied and horribly disrespected.
(Sidebar: I...don't get why people get so feverishly excited about victim/bully ships. Take Glee as an example: the thought of Karofsky/Kurt makes me want to vomit everything . Yet it is fervently shipped by some people. WHY. Karofsky physically and verbally assaulted Kurt. Karofsky threatened to kill him. Kurt moved to a new school. No, fandom, just no.)
Happier things: Oh Rich and Grace, you are making me love you more and more and more with every episode. I cannot wait to see that flour fight kiss from the promo. Also their 'twitters' and their twitter exchanges (set up by channel E4) are so delightful.
I think this was the weakest episode so far. Liv was very, very unstable and I couldn't relate to her at all. Also ike I said, she seems a different person from the Liv we've seen. I hope they deal with her issues in a way that doesn't involve an unresloved downward spiral like Effy's last season. (I also don't want a repeat of the stupid Cook/Effy "running away and shagging who-knows-where and getting debauched" saga. Matty's 'it's just you and me' made me think of that, it was not pleasant.)
Look at the big damn ending promo! That couldn't possibly be only for next week's episode, it is so long. It looks like they mish-mashed the "Nick", "Alo", and "Grace" episodes into the promo. Nick and Matty are...bonding over sports and having a drink-off? And there are glimpses of classic gorgeous Skins scenes. And also Rich and Grace are dimly lit and kissing! Yesss.
