As of today, that dude's on Deathly Hallows and he's on the edge of his seat and it's just FUN to watch someone go through that for the first time! Anyway that guy is loved by people from every walk of the fandom, so I'm sure you'll find something shiny in all his recaps. :p
I don't reeeally mean to scare anyone away from Cassandra Clare's books- just that from what I've seen of her dialogue and writing style, they aren't my cup of tea. And honestly, I'm still wary because of her notoriety in the HP Fandom. XD But if you end up liking them, I might give them a shot?
Have you read Sarah Rees Brennan's works, though? I have a feeling you'll like them because of the SPN similarity. I definitely had a sense of immense satisfaction when I finished both books.
Oooh, hey, the Leviathan sequel is out. Haven't read but reviews say it's fantastic and hilariously shippy!

Well, I'm just wary of a lot of YA books right now. There's been a huge surge in them, and a lot of the writing I've been finding in them is subpar, so that's why I'm wary of Clare. ^^ ; I haven't read Sarah Rees Brennan, but I do have her first book on my To Read list, so I'm glad to hear it has your approval!

Yay! I will have to post more about books too. ^^ I think you've inspired me to get back into the HP fandom a little, so maybe I will have at least some of that to rant about. And then it's almost time to reread DiR. : D
