The Musketeers 3.06: Where are all the gods?

Out in the wilds of Musketeerland, we're half-swashing, half-sobbing our way into the second half of the season already. Doesn't time fly when you're gawping at men in leather? Anyhow, here are my thoughts about ( Death of a Hero... )

Is it just me who didn't much enjoy this episode? Can't believe they killed off the only remaining source of amusement in another depressingly grim series. What a waste. (This is exactly how they ruined Robin Hood for me, stabbing the one character I really didn't want to lose, just for the shock value of killing someone you assumed was safe for now. Grimaud really *is* Guy of Gisborne!) Meanwhile the deeply unlikeable scowl-in-a-cloak will no doubt hang on till the bitter end, just like rotten Rochefort. Blah. I much preferred The Musketeers when it was a fun, feelgood adventure show... thank goodness we still have your light-hearted reviews to look forward to!

Gotta love all the faces Feron pulled when things weren't quite going to plan. I cracked up when he unexpectedly found himself in the world's most awkward hug!

P.S. Is "lent Feron his secret wormhole" a euphemism?

I enjoyed this episode but I am sad that they killed off Feron.

I kinda do too. It's not that I'm against the emotional or dramatic moments but I do think that overall, Season 1 was much more fun to watch. I think that's why I also loved the recent episode with James Callis in, as it reminded me of how fun this show could be.

I like it when there's deliberate comedy, but if there isn't any, I make my own, so I always enjoy the show...

That's why I love your reviews. Even if there isn't much humour in an episode, I always know that your review will make up for it.

I hadn't thought of Feron's lending of Grimaud's secret wormhole as a euphemism, but a large chunk of my subconscious is constantly churning away in a froth of double entendre, so Freud would agree with you.
