Now's the time to heave a sigh

I'm sure this will come as a huge surprise to precisely nobody, but I watched Doctor Who this evening and I imagine that quite a few other people did likewise. ( So here are some thoughts about The End of Time, Part Two... )

Agree with you lots and lots. They could have done the whole thing in an hour though, and we could have had an hour special to introduce us to Matt "where's his eyebrows?" Smith.

Tom Milligan is way sexier than Mickey Smith, so Martha's a fool to herself.

"I'm rather keen to see whether the fandom takes this one and runs with it."

Err, no. Just read a fixit fic with no Alonso, and the note says "He is coming back." Guess who "he" is? Janto is the OTP for all time, and Jack must be sad and mourn him forever, and be celibate forever.

I love the idea of the Midshipman and the Captain. As long as Alonso has his oats and then flees the Captain. Jack hasn't got a great track record when it comes to lovers and their survival post-coitus.

PM me when the Ood album is on iTunes, please?

Would be more fitting to have the note say "He will bang four times".

Ah, I'd forgotten about the people who frantically post fanfic 10 minutes after the show's ended in order to contradict everything they've just seen. I always recommend a deep breath and a hot beverage before any rash action, but maybe I'm in the old-fashioned minority.

I'm hoping that next year's Christmas number one will be their Queen cover version: Bohemian RhapsOody.

Personally, I hope it'll be their Ritchie Valens cover, Ood!Donna.

I could go on and on with this...

Either that or the concept album for Fiddler on the Ood.

I believe I've scored a 95% correlation with your ticky points here: I can't take any credit for coming up with anything so lovely as the Ood Album however - Simon Cowell's next step, no doubt (goodness he'd make a lovely Doctor Who villain-light). Wilf stole the show, Dalton clearly had fun, and we had far, far too much fun making bondage!Doctor jokes to catch a lot of the first bit, but don't feel we missed much.

As for Martha ditching being a doctor married to a scrumpy doctor to be a freelance whatsit-married to MICKEY of all people - I actually yelled at the TV. RUBBISH! But Jack hitting on Alonso was love, so I managed to calm down. Clearly the man has a thing for the ears.

Now, onto the tales of young!Doctor and the astonishingly always clad in a miniskirt uniformed copper chick I see in all the sneak peeks. It can't be a real police woman - he must have run across someone on their way to halloween in their Sexy!police uniform, yes??

LOL - good theory. It's almost like "Preemtive Rule 34"is leaking over from Team Torchwood.

Yeah, Amy's police outfit must be a costume from something; maybe the Eleventh Doctor steals her from the chorus line of Civil Unrest: The Musical?

I do like your title for this post... Pete and Dud - how I miss you too!

I enjoyed the whole rip roaring thing.

Please let me know when the iTunes versions of the Ood songs are out! :D

I'm always glad when someone gets one of my title references: it makes me feel less like an ancient crone waving my stick at the crowds of young whippersnappers. ;-)
