Ever alert to the fannish Zeitgeist (hem hem), I was in a local café at the weekend, and noticed a boy aged about seven or eight, with his mother. He was rather excitable because he had just acquired the following peculiar item.

It's a plastic car...with David Tennant's face plastered on it! )

I've heard that the cookie mix is really not that good. I want the cookie-cutter, though! :D

Any fool knows he'd go for "Doctor" on the driver's side and "Gullible Totty" on the passenger's side!

::dies::

EVERYBODY agrees that the cookie mix is terrible. Throw it away and make your own.

Perhaps I should just use the cutter to make shapes out of cheese? Alien, genetically modified cheese!

The car is very scary.
As for the cookies, I bought them too (honestly, who could resist?), and I baked them, and I worship my Dalek cookie cutter. They actually weren't that horrible, considering, but the rice crispies were really bad. Still, they looked fab.
On the Dalek note, my friend and I are also guilty of making a Dalek Chocolate Cake (http://www.chocablog.com/recipes/dalek-chocolate-cake/ ), which was the messiest thing I've ever done, using ridiculous, coma inducing amounts of chocolate. Looked great though.

I have a terrible feeling that I may need to set up a small religion worshipping you and your friend. Nothing ostentatious, mostly in it for the tax benefits, but you are most certainly deserving of a few hallelujah choruses for that effort.

Excellent Dalek cake! My mother once made a Dalek cake for my brother's birthday, way back in the late 1970s (the Daleks were big then, too!). It was pale blue, as I recall, with coloured Smarties for the round bits down the side, and think there may have been stripes of licorice involved. I'm rather tempted to see whether my mum can send me a photo of it: I'm sure there's one somewhere...

(I wasn't left out on my birthday, I hasten to add - I had a yummy chocolate owl cake!)

oh god... I need to buy the cookies just for the cookie cutter so I can make an army of gingerbread daleks to decorate the office with and torment my boss..

You can use the cookie-cutter to make your own sophisticated dalek biscuits! Rice crispies? Tsk! Capers, darling! On parmesan cracker daleks!

Parmesan Dalek crackers sound FABULOUS. I must experiment with other Nigella-style Dalek recipes...
