Things have generally been going better for me lately.
I still have my ups and (break)downs now and again, but how can I stay
down all the time when about 25 friends have done everything in their
power to not let me stay that way? I’ve

I did not know the S-H ticket can be used by more than one person...how convenient! Oh, and please do not ask me to suggest some places to see - I have no idea...and I've been living here for 11 years now...

Definitely also head off to the North Sea coast and check out all the little fisherman towns that are so charming. try Husum. Be wild , extravagant, and go to the island of Sylt. Skip Westerland on Sylt coz that's where the wealthy and lame-o hang out to eat their lobster and shrimp.
Ratzeburg is a very nice town as well! but it's further than Lübeck, i don't know how far u are planning on going.
If you want it to just be a short day or half day trip, take the train to Plön (REALLY not for from Kiel). there are lovely small lakes there to walk along and picknick, and it's really nice during the Spring. sometimes they have small festivals at the castle/palace place-turned-Internat.
hope that helps.

Where would you suggest we go on Sylt?
I'll definitely check out Ratzeburg as well...I don't want to restrict myself to S-H...I figure (depending on money of course) Fridays I'll go within S-H, but Saturdays (or Sundays) I'd go some place in Niedersachsen or Thuringia even? Maybe I'll even take a weekend trip far down South sometime? But by all means Ratzeburg is within my reach.
And I've been meaning to go to Plön for a while as well. Can you bike around the lakes there? I mean...are there paths along the banks?
And thanks for these suggestions!

And why do you say Niedersachsen and Thuringia? (I mean one in German and the other in English.)I thought Lower Saxony is the English term for Niedersachsen...am I wrong?

My brain thinks in Denglish these days. I've never referred to Niedersachsen as Lower Saxony despite it being the English name...but Thurngia is no long stretch from Thuringen...but you're right...it's weird. It's like saying Cologne and Muenchen together...

Is it okay if you do all the planning? I do not have enough time for that...but I'll see what I can do, if you cannot.

I can do the "planning"...but where would you like to go? Let me know and I'll see what I can throw together, ok?
