I'll stop smoking and stay stopped... maybe.
I've stopped many times before, but the mental addiction is far greater than the physical addition.
So, I've stopped again. After four days I'm coming out of the physical addition.
Another six months of work, and I'll say I've quit.
The real trick will be to stay at 'quit'.

Even if you do end up smoking again someday, the time while you aren't smoking is helpful, right?

While any time not smoking is helpful, one of these times I'd really like to stay quit. I've done so for periods ranging from days through several years - so, I'm trying to keep the focus on not starting again, as compared to less_smoking_is_better. While I won't bang my head against the wall if I fail, it'll mean I'd have to quit again - and I'm getting tired of 'again' and would like to get to done. :)
