Crystal Beauty

Aug 26, 2004 14:46

The golden sun was shining
Upon a world of ice;
And for that crystal beauty
There was no offered price.

The trees encased in silver,
And some with golden hue,
Stood etched in brillant diamonds
Against the sky of blue.

The fields, the lawns, the meadows,
The hedges and fencetops, too,
Were all a frozen picture-
Of what God's hands could do.

- Gertrude Rudberg

Life is a book of volumes three,
the past, the present and yet to be.
The past is gone and laid away;
the present we are living day by day.
The third and last of volume three is
hidden away. Only God holds the key.
