[Personality]
Remember that girl that always got bullied in high school? Jennifer is that girl all grown up, self-esteem issues and all.
Extremely timid and shy, Jennifer is the type of girl bullying types are quite simply drawn to. She almost seems to exude this aura of frailty and submissiveness and it's easy to see she is the type that very rarely stands up for herself. Being the only survivor of two horrible tragedies has given her a great bout of survivor's guilt; when we see her, she's nothing but a complete and total doormat. Come endgame, she's beginning to overcome her crippling self-confidence, but at her core she remains a very soft-spoken and shy individual who would rather avoid any confrontation even if she is being treated unfairly. It's this sort of low self-esteem that makes it hard for her to make friends, but she places great importance on the friends she does have, and cherishes them more than anything.
Jennifer is a pacifist, which can make her seem very wishy-washy and weak-willed at first glance. She is certainly more prone to apologize than attempt to stand up for herself. It was her inability to stand up for herself or for the sake of her friends that encouraged Wendy to kill her dog, which led to Jennifer cutting off ties with Wendy and Wendy causing the orphanage massacre in a fit of anger and heartbreak. Even if a person insults her to her face and she knows full well that what they are saying is not true, Jennifer will very rarely attempt to correct them. Instead, she stands there and allows those people to berate her for as long as they pleased. By the end of the game, she begins showing some semblance of a spine, but these steps are small; it's going to take more than a revalation to consistently put it into play.
However, there is nothing mean or small-spirited about Jennifer. Despite all the abuse she is shown, Jennifer remains a very kind and understanding person who rarely thinks badly of others. She very rarely gets angry with people, but if she does, it is never because of a slight against herself- the only time she has shown anger was because something terrible had happened to one of her friends. Not once in the game does she ever show a real resentment toward the children or adults that had mistreated her. In the January chapter, Jennifer even goes so far as to pity them. Even Wendy, the girl who initiated her terrible time at the orphanage and went so far as to murder her only source of comfort, only received sympathy from Jennifer (…Wendy…you were always so lonely. Poor, lonely Wendy…I wonder if my letters ever reached her…). Following this, Jennifer also seems to be an extremely empathetic person. She holds no grudges against those people- only a gentle, soft-spoken sympathy. If you examine the girls' possessions in the January chapter, Jennifer is able to comment on the emotional turmoil by which they had been trapped. She's even able to feel this sort of sympathy for Gregory, man who had kept her captive in his basement against her will. She is initially reluctant to leave him alone because he seemed "so lonely, so sad".
All in all, Jennifer is a very timid, very shy, but ultimately extremely kind young woman who will always care more of the welfare of others than she does about herself.

[Other important stuff]
Brown is going to be accompanying her to Somarium if he will be allowed. Brown is her canine companion throughout the game, and I've found in my previous game that it's much easier to get Jennifer to be social if she has her dog to fall back on when she's feeling nervous. He has no special abilities to speak of- simply a normal Labrador. In general, he'll just be there to provide Jennifer some moral support in the background so she won't be so nervous around other people.

Q&A
1. Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could?
...I used to be different. I used to let everyone bully me and tell me what to do. ...And because of my weakness, I lost my best friend.
Never again. I will never allow that to happen again. If there was any way I could make this world better if I fought against those in charge...then I will do everything in my power to make it possible. I-I'm not very strong, or smart, but...I would try my hardest.
It's the least I could do for Brown.
2. You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why?
I would save my friend. There is no revenge worth having if it means I lose another person dear to me.
3. Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life?
I...a peaceful life.
...Yes, I believe that's right. After everything that's happened, I want nothing more than to live out my days in peace.
4. If you could destroy a city, how would you do it?
D-destroy a city?! I-I would never...!
5. The hottest boy/girl in class/workplace just confessed their love to you. How do you respond?
[FLUSTERED NOISES.] Th-they... they what?! I don't know what...are you sure they're speaking to me...? I-I don't know...um... [There's nothing but nervous fidgeting now] ...C-can we move on to another question...?
6. You just got a challenge to fight from one of the strongest gang leaders around. Do you accept or reject? Why
...M-me? ...Oh dear, I couldn't...I'm not very strong, you know...truly, I haven't the slightest idea why they would ask that of me in the first place.
[Third Person]
Thunderstorms were not foreign to Jennifer, but they still managed to startle her all the same. She gasped as another crack of lightning burst forth from the clouds, this one landing alarmingly close to her own position. Jennifer tightened her grip on the plain, black umbrella in her hands, shifting it slightly to shield Brown from the worst of the rain. In turn, Brown let out a low whine and pressed his wet body against her legs in a futile attempt to keep his mistress dry. Jennifer had the foresight to bring an umbrella before she had left this morning, but it did little to help either of them now. As if to prove the point, a particularly strong gust of wind blew at her back, catching Jennifer offguard and tearing the umbrella out from her numbed fingertips.
"Oh, no-!" Jennifer cried out in alarm, weakly attempting to chase the umbrella a few steps before pausing and watching helplessly with a troubled frown as the wind carried it further away from her. Thunder cracked loudly overhead and almost seemed to laugh in amusement when Jennifer ducked down instinctively and covered the top of her head. Cold. They were both cold and wet and furthermore, Jennifer had no idea where they were. But if the lightning above was any indication, they needed to find shelter and fast. Pushing herself upright, she raised a hand to her head in order to shield her eyes from the water. Squinting, she could make out a small shed in the distance; old, perhaps, but still standing sturdily in the rain. She shivered despite herself- sheds inspired great feelings of ambivalance within her. It was the place Stray Dog made his sweets, but it was also the place where Brown was kept safe, locked up and protected. She looked down at her friend, a soft, bittersweet smile on her lips. If she was thankful for anything, she was thankful for the ability to see her beloved dog once again.
"We'll be all right, Brown, won't we?" Brown barked in response to her question, tail wagging vehemently in an attempt to reassure his master. She knelt down to him, letting her knuckles run across his back in an affectionate gesture. Thunder sounded again, causing her to jump and stand up abruptly. Right. She could pay attention to him later, when they were both out of this horrible weather. She nodded gently to her god and pointed to the shed ahead of them. They'll be all right. She won't ever let him down again.
"...Let's go, Brown."
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Jennifer is an easy muse and I missed playing her. I think her disposition would work well in Somarium and I really love the setting provided in this game.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] Pets are allowed. :) Mainly because Brown is such a deeply ingrained part of Jennifer's character.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] I had been looking for a game and was referenced to this one by a friend.
[Any questions?] As of yet, no.
