[The town is a lot more desolate with people gone for the draft. All in all, she's a bit agitated at the serious air that had settled upon Luceti; non-combatants had gone along with completely capable people - what if she were next? The thought made her blood run cold

[At some point, as she's rounding a corner, Bowser will be doing the same... and slam straight into her. Of course, it's not going to knock HIM over, but he's a huge dragon turtle thing, so what do you expect.]

Hey! Watch where you're walking!

[Well, that was certainly enough to send her sprawling. The connection was too sudden to really get a good look at the person she slammed into, but the voice was indignant enough to cause her to cringe into the ground.]

I-I'm so sorry!

You're darn right you are! [With the sun at his back, he takes advantage of its position to step forward, blocking the light and casting his shadow over her. Its a very effective way of intimidation.]

No one crosses the Koopa King!

[You don't have to do that in order to intimidate her, though the method is quite effective. She shifts on the ground until she is sitting on her knees, though her eyes are being kept demurely to the ground. At the mention of the word "King" though, there is a visible, involuntary flinch back.]

[Brown, trailing near his master as always, attempts to jump to her defense and ease Jennifer's distress by letting out a low, ominous growl. You don't scare him. >:|]

[He glares at her, obviously pleased by her shrinking away like that. At least some people here can show respect. Although that dog is kind of annoying. Maybe if he kicked it across the plaza, it would shut up. He's about to be on his way when he spots a tennis racket beside her. Suspiciously, he picks it up and examines it.]

You play tennis?

...I-I just...found...it...

[She would elaborate and say no, she had no idea beyond "hit the ball back and forth", but it's at this time that she chances a look up at who is addressing her.

...Oh, she so thoroughly wishes she hadn't done that. Whatever words she had thought about saying very quickly shrivel and die in her throat as her eyes grow large and frightened at the sight of a giant dragon turtle thing glaring down at her.]

[Hmmm... it's been awhile since he played tennis. Maybe some competition is what he needed to fix his villainous A-Game. She didn't look like much, but...]

[Oh god that laughing. Again with the cringing on her side while Brown lets out an alarmed bark.

[Bowser snarls at the dog, before turning his attention back to Jennifer.]

Now show me where you got this racket! I need one too.

[BROWN IS THE BEST DOG AND DOESN'T AFRAID OF ANYTHING. He continues to bristle at Bowser, though his barking just trails off into a series of growls again.

As for Jennifer? She just lifts a trembling finger and points to the item shop. lol what is resistance. She feels like she might faint. 8(]

[Item shop? He's on his way. As he walks towards it, he will casually reach for Jennifer so he can carry her under one arm, much like you would a sack of potatoes.]

[She sees what he's about to do in just enough time to lamely attempt to recoil from his grasp. But this is Jennifer we're talking about. She might as well not have tried at all. Jennifer lets out a strangled cry of panic as she is tucked under one arm and struggles weakly against him, all while Brown begins to bark in alarm.]

N-no, please-!

Nobody likes a whiner, now shut up!

[He ignores the dog and heads towards the store. Shame nobody is around to save her, huh?

[Yes, it is a shame. But then again, she wasn't expecting anyone to help her.

There's a soft, shuddering breath before she bites down on her lip in an attempt to quiet down. Jennifer is trying very, very hard not to let the idea that she's being dragged off by a giant, unidentifiable creature sink in, but she trembles like a leaf under his arm all the same.

As for Brown? He can't do anything for her now and he knows it. Brown intimidates, but he doesn't often attack. So he just follows behind Bowser, tail tucked between his legs and occasionally letting out a low whine of worry. He will be very upset if you hurt her. ;-;]
