Still here

Yes, yes...I know.  Don't be too shocked.  I've seriously just been really busy; ask Justin, he'll vouch for that.

The play is coming along I guess.  I was tempted to quit at first, but you all know me...that just ain't my style most of the time.  I think Jus wanted me to quit, because at first I came home feeling all depressed and inferior, and like my presence there was just to give the other girls the ability to form a square without looking...well, like a triangle.  I feel better about the whole thing now, now that we're practicing on stage and doing run throughs and stuff.

I did resign as the pianist at Trout Run.  They don't need me anymore, and I need to move on anyway.  Plus, it would be nice to be able to take a week off or go to another church now and then if something else comes up, without feeling too guilty about it.  Maybe now I'll be able to get my CD underway.  Yeah...the one that was supposed to be done by the end of the summer.

After Christmas, I'm going to check with Penn State about getting my masters degree.  I know I have the drive it takes to actually get it; it's the initial step I haven't taken towards the beginning though.  I'll get there.  I was going to let Justin go back to school first (because he wants to be a teacher) but he hasn't made any indication that he's doing anything to speed the process, and I refuse to wait and wait and not get my degree in the end.  He's cool with it too, so that helps.  I just have to figure out how to get my masters and keep my job (or get a different job while continuing my education).  The bank will work with me, but only to a certain extent.  And they won't pay for classes unless they're related to finance.  Since I'm going back for marketing, I'm S.O.L.

Nip/Tuck has gotten weird lately.  Weirder than normal.  Last night, I was about to give up on watching it when an associate doctor took it up the tailpipe from a patient.  But then at the end, the Carver came back and he has Kimber (JUST AS I SUSPECTED!) so now I have to continue to watch to see if Kimber gets rescued or if Christian gives up on her completely.  My new favorite show is definitely Bones; seeing as it is about a forensic anthropologist and, aside from marketing, forensic anthropology would be my second choice in degrees.  (These are the options you have when you major in Soc/Anth and minor in two different kinds of business.)

So I think I'm going to start planning for the wedding.  The next thing on my list is to pick a D.J.  I'm going to call on Saturday and see if the gentlemen whose names I have will let me preview them at any upcoming functions.  So far, just from my personal experience, I'm leaning towards Datman Entertainment, because when I worked at the Genetti Darryl seemed to be the nicest to the servers and the guests.  He also had quite a selection of music if I recall correctly.  If anyone has any suggestions or personal preferences, please let me know.  I'm always open to suggestion.

Also, I'd like to figure out where to have the rehearsal dinner.  The thing is, though, I think Justin's parents are paying for it.  Does that mean they get to pick where it is?  I made a suggestion or two, but his mom clearly expressed a distaste for my choices.  I wanted to keep the rehearsal dinner relatively inexpensive in the hopes that the money saved there would be offered for other things.  My parents don't have a lot to give, and Justin and I are certainly trying to save our pennies where we can, so anything anyone offers will be greatly appreciated.  I'm not looking for handouts, and I hate to mooch off people at any point in time, but I'm only getting married once, and so is Justin, so I guess--just for this one event--it'll be ok.  I'm so thankful to have Cindy doing the flowers; at first I thought it would be too costly because of her being so far away, but it turns out this is not the case.  I was so happy about that I could have cried.

By the way, I got a new cell phone number.  If you want it and I haven't already called you, let me know.

If I don't update before the end of the month, happy holidays everyone.  That's right...I'm a Christian, but I'm saying happy holidays.  Not that I'm anti-Merry Christmas, but I know some of you are Jewish and I didn't want to leave you out.  This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion.  There's my two cents.

Well, lunch break is over so it's back to the grind.
