I haven't written anything in awhile, but there just hasn't seemed to be much to write for awhile. Sometimes, it seems like things always happen all at once.
My Christmas was awesome. Usually it's pretty fun because the family gets together and everything, but this year, it was like everyone just got along the whole time. My uncle flew down from New York, and he, my other uncle, my grandparents, my mom, my sister and her husband, and I all got together several evenings in a row to eat and hang out and talk. Last night, we even played a card game, which for my uncle is pretty lowbrow (he's a fancy pants architect in NYC - his firm is the one doing the new Freedom Tower). Everyone had a great time, and we even took a family picture together, which is a huge deal because we've never done that before.
Cory and I got back together a couple of weeks ago, which is both strange and wonderful. I missed a lot of things about him that I guess I didn't realize weren't so common, like how trustworthy and affectionate he is. I know he's someone I can always count on to be there and love me, and I can really be myself around him, whether I feel like being pretty and made up, or lounging around in old baggy pajamas. It's hard to get used to someone else sleeping in the bed, but that's not all the time yet, so I'm working on it. He's working on getting a job here in Memphis so he can move up here, because I am so not doing a long distance relationship again.
On the lighter side of things, I used some of my Christmas money to get an iPod! So finally, I will be jumping into the 21st century. Now if only I had a decent computer. Must work on that next. Also, I got the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess game from Kim and Jeff and I've been playing that a lot. That game is dangerous because you get sucked in and then you're asking yourself, "Do I really need that much sleep? I can play a little more."
All in all, the end of this year is looking great, and I have high hopes for next year.
