Writer's Block: Turn and face the strain

I believe that the one thing that I found myself doing these past five years is-anime.
Oh, sure, I know that that word would spark eye-rolls and sighs and muttered curses in adults-but anime has changed me for the better. Because of it, I got on fanfiction.net (shudder) and started to write after telling myself it was impossible to do it; I started drawing two years ago as well. Even though my grades have lowered, I don't see it as a bad thing-before manga, there was a bland and shy child, who maybe had a better grasp on English than I did, but didn't have a lot in life aside from books. I've broadened out, gained some colors, and laughed a lot more. I've learned that straight A's are useless if you aren't happy and that if you were enjoying life at a B+ then you didn't need to feel bad because those geniuses in your class got A's without even thinking about it.
I guess I'm painting my life as far too easygoing. But truthfully, I've found a lot more to love in life, and anime helped me climb up a dark hole I'd steadily fallen in since I'd moved from America. It's something that's made me think so much more.
I guess I've matured alot since 6th grade.
