3-day weekend

Feb 20, 2007 08:43

I had a pretty good weekend. It was relaxing, but also productive. Not as productive as I'd have hoped, probably, but if it had been, I don't think I would have been ready for work today. I went shopping on Sunday, and decided to break from my usual shopping paradigm a bit. I bought some raw chicken and garlic herb marinade, with the intent of (gasp) actually cooking a meal instead of just heating it up. I also got some sammich fixin's, including honey dijon mustard, which was an excellent choice. The marinade is listed as 30-minute marinade on the label, but it says you can leave it for longer for a richer flavor. I left it for 2 and a half hours, and I think it came out pretty good. Ideally, I'd like to be able to leave it for 24 hours, so I can prepare it the night before. I may try that with the next marinade.

I haven't heard from Mary since Friday/Saturday, which is frustrating, but I'm not giving up yet. I did end up chatting with Adria off and on for most of the weekend, though. So far, that friendship is working out rather nicely. We're very alike in many ways.

I finished up my achievements for Pocketbike Racer yesterday while talking with lostlo, so that's another game under my belt. Big Bumpin' may be a bit more challenging to get all of them, as there are more online achievements. But that will probably be an issue for another time. Crackdown was apparently shipped yesterday, according to Amazon, so that will be my new diversion very soon.

And, it turns out I'm a genius. I totally forgot what I'm supposed to be working on today, but apparently I foresaw this difficulty and made a list on Friday. Huzzah! Okay, so that's not particularly ingenious, but I was pleased. Off to go stress out about shit!
