Yeah thats about it

So heres a table type thing for what it cost to move to San Francisco. I'll add options later with prices this will be based on bare essentials.

assuming you land a job in the first month witch is incredibly lucky. You still have two or three interviews and time before the drug test clears. Who knows when your first pay check comes in, and it needs to clear in with the bank before you can even use the cash. You'll need next month rent in the bank other wise your on the street before your job starts. So right off the bat your going to need cash for basic expenses for 2 months. Plus added move in fees. Past that consider any luxuries.

Rent first month plus deposit. Market rate for a one bed room apartment is 1600. So there goes 3,200, and then your going to need next month rent. Even if you get the job you wont get the first pay checked cashed for at least a week or 2. +1600 second month rent.

4,800
During the first 2 months you need to keep a phone, cell phone works best so you can keep a number that any job can call you. Can't get a job with out a phone number. Lets say $50 a month for 2 months. You'll have to pay for gas and electricity, prices very on the time of year from around $100 - $20. We'll say you move in the summer to keep it cheap. I'm going to low ball the shit out of this but $5 a day for food. keep in mind that even though it does land 4 items on the value menu really think about how ridicules that is for 60 days. Lets say you dont have a car. You will need some form of public transportation to get you to job interviews, and any where else your going to go. For 2 months lets go with $50
5,290

$5,290 thats a base price. The question then is what does it cost you to move all your stuff to your apartment. A U-haul will run at least a $100 bucks. You might be able to get friends and family to help you on the labor part. I'd put money down that you will need an internet connection. Its almost necessary to get a job, and it helps with the fact that as of right now you dont have cable on your TV or any money to go out with. $35 a month sounds fair for 2 months $70. If you own a car the gas will balance out with the public transportation, but you still need to pay for insurance. Minimum on a beater with a good driving record is $50 a month times 2 months $100. these options dont kill you too much but for these almost cant live with out things. So now we're talking practical living. better add what $50 for food on that per month.
5,660

so at least 5k for broke move in and 5,500 for a more probable situation. either way to live in SF for a month once thats set will run you 1720 - 2k.

if you have a car note add 200 witch is low for a payment and 250 for insurance on a newer car. if you like TV feel free to add 25 low end to the internet price.

You need a job clearing $12 an hour after taxes with 40 hour week. Just to try to break even. hopefully your educated in some thing more then oh i dont know, cinema where the hight of your carrier is getting a coffee for the director. I'm reminded of Chris Rock in Jay and silent bob strike back.

Chaka's Production Assistant: Here's your coffee sir.
Chaka: Did you spit in it?
Chaka's Production Assistant: I didn't spit in it sir.
Chaka: Any boogers in it?
Chaka's Production Assistant: There's no boogers in it sir.
Chaka: You went to film school didn't you? Must piss you off to see a black man runnin' a big old production like this, huh? Went to film school. Does your daddy know you give a nigga his coffee? Must kill him, doesn't it!
Chaka's Production Assistant: There's no boogers in it sir.
Chaka: Then taste it. Taste the booger flavor. I know it's in there!

Chaka's Production Assistant: Here's your coffee sir, booger-free.
Chaka Luther King: [slaps it out his hands] Get that shit the fuck out of here.
