I am so bad!
I am so bad cause I haven't written in this thing in like ages! But not much is really going on. For once, I'm not madly in love with anyone, and I don't really have much to complain about. School is grate! I'm getting A's mostly, maybe a B in theory, but I'm improving. Whoever said being a music major was easy, lies like a rug! Lol. But it is so worth it. I love almost evry minute of it, I'm even starting to like theory too. My piano playing skills are improving too. The other day, my piano teacher made me play for this master class thingy, and I was so nervous. But I didn't do too bad actually. He kep walking by me telling me to "breathe." Lol. I did okay, of course when I got home, I sat down to play my peace, and made no mistakes at all! Grrrrr! Lol. But everyone said it was good, and for not playing the piano in public like that in like 6 or 7 years, I don't think I did half bad. Now I just have to remember that when I play for the recital. Aaaahhhh!
Opera sceens is going awesome! I had a few minor set backs, but everything seems to be coming together, and i am sooooooo excited! Lol. I'm only in 2 or 3 little sceens, but hey, I'll take that over nothing any day! Lol. I'm doing 2 duets, and hopefully I'll be doing one solo aria. That one is still up in the air. Lol. In one duet, I play the part of a high class french hooker! Hahaha, and I have to be "Half naked" apparently. I'm not exactly sure what they mean by that, I didn't have time to ask, but i have the feeling that isn't gonna go so well with my Grandmother. Lol. But the song is really pretty. I get to pretend to be on a gondela, and I get to lay across a bench all sexy like, which makes it a little hard to sing, but in the words of Anna, "If I can do it honey, you can do it!" Lol. in the other duet, I'm a maid / servant type thing. Again though, the song is really pretty. I get to be in all three performences too, so hey, that works for me! Everyone in opera sceens has been reall nice too, so that's a pluss. And although Anna Shaf can be a bit of a bitch sometimes, she's been so awesome about aevrything. I've been working really hard, and I think it's gonna be seriously awesome!
I switched studdy groups in oral perseption, so now I'm not with a bunch of guys who are tone deaf. Lol. Actually, I think they like having a group with only guys in it anyway, so it works out perfectly. Now i'm with 2 guys, one of which is oh so hot, and they can both sing which makes singing in tests a lot easier. Lol. Now I can worry about myself instead of worrying about whether or not everyone else is on pitch and what not. Did I mention that one of them is really hot? Haha jk. Well no he really is hot, but... ya know what I mean.
Last night was our choir consert, and it went so awesome! We rock like crazy! Gotta love it. I went to ihop with Marnie, Jake, Alfred, and Julie and a bunch of other people, and Julie spent the night at my house. She lives kinda far, so I told her if she really wanted to go with us, she could stay at my house. Her mom picked her up earlier, but it was pretty fun. Lol.
So life is good, school is awesome, mariachi and opera and choir and music in general are fabulous, and it's starting to get colder and I looooooove it! i can't wait till Christmass!
