[The handwriting here is Ghost's familiar scrawl but it's a bit lazier than usual, as if it taking him a lot of effort to put ink to page. Someone finally woke up and is on the good stuff.]
I have a hole near my chest.
Again.
This is old.
[long pause]You guys talk too damn much. I am not reading through all this. Yo. Sphere. Short version of

[...yeah I dunno either honestly]
She doesn't have to I can go now right?
[and he tries to get up...and fails]
.........ornot.

no, you are staying here until you are told by a medic that it is okay for you to leave. no arguments.
[At this point he has walked into Ghost's room and shut his journal.]

[before he gets any further with that, Simon appears and Ghost stops and looks up]
Wow you look like shit.
[hello to you too doc. Also I hope you're not mad but Ghost kinda sorta removed something on his right hand so he could write better. probably a heart monitor or something. ...Ghosty luvs you Simon!]
I didn't need that thinger did I?

I FEEL like that, believe me. It's been a long week.
[Simon notices that Ghost pulled out one of his IVs; giving a loud, exhasperated sigh, he tosses his own journal onto the counter and goes to re-affix it.]
I am tired, strung out and on the verge of being very impolite. So please- just listen to me. Don't pull anything out, and no leaving until a medic tells you differently, dǒngma?

You should rest, doc. If you're gonna pull that bullshit on me, you have to follow it yourself.
[Oh hey wait a minute! What are you doing with that needle!?]
Hey! I can't write with that thing on! What the hell are you worried about politeness Simon. It's me. If you're so tired, why can't you just go on break. Look--I'm alive. I'm breathing. Job well done.

I can't rest while I have patients to tend to.
[He doesn't add that he also hasn't been sleeping because of his memory; he's afraid that every time he falls asleep, he'll see his memory in his dreams again and upset his sister.]
This tube is what's been keeping you hydrated while you've been unconscious. I'll be able to take it out soon now that you can take in fluids on your own, but you'll just have to be patient.

Then let me go and there's one less patient to worry about.
[He frowns and pulls his hand away]
One second, gotta add something.
[He scribbles a note at the top of his entry and then shuts it before Simon can see it]
You really should be sleeping. Let someone like Lezard or Kazahana take over.
[we're gonna totally ignore that whole comment about hydration and other crap he doesn't want to think about]

You've been unconscious for days. I'm not letting you go home right now. End of story.
[He stops to take a breath, making an effort to center himself before he loses his temper, as he's had to do more and more often lately.]
I'll be fine.

It was bad then.
[And that is that. He can't muster up the energy to care when he's been here before, near death (and dead). So he just files the information of "shit to repress until someday it comes out in an unhealthy way' and eyerolls at Simon]
You say that and it's so not true. Unless you want me to start pulling all these wires out, you're gonna sit down and rest. Five minutes, Simon. Do it or I'm gonna bleed all over you.
Reply
Yes. It was. I don't remember ever dealing with anything like this here. Not on this scale.
[Something tells Simon that it's not quite true, and his brain begins to slip into remembering something, but before he knows what, his vision goes black. Gasping, be backs off. His expression then turns sour.]
Fine. I will make sure someone comes in to check up on you.

Worse than the fire? I didn't--everyone seems so calm--
[Holy shit--wtf was that reaction, Simon? Ghost tries to sit up in shock but winces when the movement pulls on something painful]
Owwww.
