So I am driving back from my mom's house & jammin to CIUT radio (89.5FM)which starts to break up & fade out pretty much as soon as I cross Tonawanda Creek but the music is just SO good. Happy funky energetic shit, even mixed in some steel drums and congas - whoa!
And as it starts to fade NPR starts cutting in & its Our Dearly Beloved fuckface bush giving some speech about iraq & it is so loaded with buzzwords and catch phrases that the content is all but meaningless. Words like Freedom and Democracy and BlahBlalBlah that maybe used to mean one thing but certainly don't anymore.
It was a perfectly mixed combination of the one station I most wanted to listen to and the one I most did NOT want to hear and in that I ended up with something so much more meaningful...
It's amazing how hypocritical his speech of lies became when interrupted by something that was created with genuine emotion & capable of invoking similar responses in people of all kinds. Things like hapipness, energy, fun, spirit, LIFE. Each minute we breathe we only get that one minute to do it right.
