it doesn't set well b/c i believe the pieces do fit together but we humans are incapable of figuring out how. On a small scale we might be able to place together a few pieces of the puzzle however not for the grand picture...Some how i think of this as a bit a protection mechanism we have in all of us b/c if we get too caught up in the "bigger plan" and all it's many pieces then we miss out on living...we fall to far into the rabbit hole so to speak.

I Like Pirsig, he's a brilliant man, but this is definitely one of his more personalized thoughts and probably one of his earlier thoughts as well. Most likely how he personally viewed Life at that particular time...something tells me it evolved at some point.
