Random updates
CU finallyyyyyyy sent its housing information out. Took 'em long enough-- it seems like most of my other friends other colleges have had their rooming assignments since June (as I recall, we were supposed to get it back in June too), and we're only getting any of our useful information now, in the middle of July. But I won't complain too much; apparently we have the biggest class in a lot of years due to a bunch of kids being let in at the last minute. Must be a mess to deal with. And I did get my top choice of dorm, so yar, I am happy.
Finally got around to doing the update thing to Opera Mini. Among other things, the shiny new version now lets me log into my Wikidot account, which means I'll be able to wikistalk/fiddle around with my own sites from on comfort and flexibility of my cell phone-- computer curfew be darned.
Went and saw HBP last night. I personally really liked it (and holy god, the attention to visual detail. 8|). A few of the romantic tension things were kind of horribly contrived and lolwut-- my friend and I snorted out loud at the shoelace scene-- but on the whole, yeah. I think it helped that I only ever got through the first half of the book a long time ago and can't really remember what I did read, so I wasn't incessantly comparing the movie and the book like some people around me were. It was nice just enjoying the movie on its own terms. It does leave me in the mood to read the 6th book again (and finish it this time), and maybe eventually get around to the last one too.
