Well, we seem to be catching/fighting off a flu here. Len is home from school today and I'm working from home to keep him company. He's capable of looking after himself but he gets lonely, which I understand. He's not needy, he just likes knowing there's someone in the house. Poor guy has a nasty cough.
Him being sick meant we missed CAP last night, which is not the end of the world but I was supposed to start on my track training. As a Senior Member, we each get assigned a particular track to learn on to help the squadron. We can switch after awhile but for now I have been assigned Information Technology. This is a good fit with my background and some of my interests. I confess I'd hoped for something a little further afield but this is not a bad start. And I'd rather do something that's useful to the squadron than something that isn't.
One of the main challenges facing the squadron is actually the fact that the commander uses a Mac laptop and the wifi and projector where we meet do not seem to get along with Apple tech. I am not nearly as familiar with Apple tech so that'll be a challenge.
