So this will be a mishmash post. Prepare yourself:

What I've been Watching:
This movie was intense. I was REALLY stressed out through most of it and found myself rather attached to the characters. But, at the end, I was just really, really sad. War sucks (Captain Obvious, I know).
I SHOULD have loved this movie. The concept of using people as actually avatars in video games is both intriguing (in a horrible, sick sort of way that appeals to the writer in me) and terrifying. And I love most of the cast. But there was no real punch, emotional or otherwise. I wasn't even disgusted with it; I was just kind of indifferent.

What I've been Reading:
I have recently discovered Shelly Laurenston. These three books, in particular, are amazing. I'm not familiar enough with erotica/romance to know where the line is drawn but these books are great for those of you who like your romance with some teeth.
And the lady characters are what really make the books something special. These three friends Sara, Miki, and Angelina (each is an MC in their own book) who are bat-sh*t-crazy. I mean, they fight and cuss and would do absolutely anything for those they love - and it's a limited list. But they are so much more. Sara is a wolf shifter (although she doesn't know it as of PC) who's also a biker chick, Miki is a freaking genius (literally, her IQ is like 170-some odd) and Angelina owns her own business. And all three of them have emotional Issues. Which only makes me love them more.
And Ms. Laurenston's writing is superb. I was laughing out loud through a good portion of these books. Fantastic, just fantastic. 9/10 (for all three)

What I'm Listening to:
She's ... something. I don't even know. Basically I hated her music until about a week ago and now suddenly I'm obsessed with it. I blame brainwashing and a sick sense of amusement.

What I'm EXCITED about:
A huge CONGRATS! out to
brimfire for signing with Joanna Stampfel-Volpe. Her book, FISSURE, is freaking fantastic and I can't wait for it to come out so I can buy twenty copies and give one to all of my friends/family/people I meet on the street. So SQUEEE!
And, you know, that thing on later today. What's it called again? Oh yeah, the Superbowl.
