I've finished my second draft of Project Zed (now tentatively titled HUNTER OF THE DEAD) and printed it out. This weekend I'm going to do another run-through and fix any weird language stuff I find. I have this nasty tendency to write REALLY LONG sentences that sound like Yoda would say them. Which is not recommended for someone who wants a tight and readable book. *sigh*
But the break has gotten me back in gear with the Annabel Lee book. I feel like I have the tone right and I now know what Cale's going to be doing (instead of lurking about like a stalker). So that's always a good thing!

I'm reading through Jane Eyre and vastly enjoying it but it's taking me a bit longer than my usual books so I'm somewhat at a loss as to what to post here. But I've recently been accused of being predictable in my music choices so I'd like to offer up my Ipod music list (it's only an Ipod Shuffle so the list is relatively short). You can be the judge of if it's predictable or not. heh.
RISE AGAINST - All their albums to date. I love Rise Against and I never seem to cycle out of liking them like I do with so many other bands. And they're one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Words cannot express my excitement for their album coming out in October!
FLOGGING MOLLY - SWAGGER. I love this album more than the others. Every song is fantastic from the foot-tapping Devil's Dance Floor to the melancholy For The Grace of God I Go. I STILL haven't seen them live, but it will happen sooner or later (the Husband gleefully tells me how amazing they are live - he's seen them, like, twenty times).
TAYLOR SWIFT - FEARLESS. Yeah, I was so sure I didn't like her music ... and then I loved every single song that's been released so far. So I picked up Fearless and ... OMG. It's amazing. I love how blatantly honest she is about relationship stuff and how everything isn't all "yay LOVE." The Way I Loved You and White Horse, in particular, are amazing.
S.J. TUCKER - SIREN, SOLACE AND SORROW, BLESSINGS. I don't own much folk music (S.J. Tucker is about it) but I really love her stuff. The way she's able to tell stories so dramatically with her music is, in short, amazing. In particular, I love The Wendy Trilogy (yep, that's Peter Pan's Wendy). Little Miss LOVES Firebird's Child (she knows all the words and keeps telling me "Mommy, I love that song very much!"). I'm a little obsessed with Taglio! and The Drowning.
WEDNESDAY 12 - BLOODWORK E.P., FANG BANG, SKELETONS, TRANSYLVANIA 90210. The best way I can describe this band is "horror punk." The Husband found them ... somewhere about a year ago and I've only just started listening to them. I don't know why I love them so much, but I really do. In particular, I'm currently obsessed with Til Death Do Us Party, From Here To The Hearse and I Walked With a Zombie. Great band!
[EDITED TO ADD]
3OH!3 - WANT. Erm, I completely forgot about these guys. They're hilarious. Their sound reminds me of Hollywood Undead with a little more rapping going on. I love that they don't take themselves too seriously and the beats make me (more often than not) jump up and dance around my living room.
