捞起 (aka lo hei)

just had my 6th round of lo hei for the year. i may have gone through 7 rounds of this unique-to-singapore/malaysia highly-expensive salad-tossing ritual, but i'm not sure because i've lost count. what's more, it's not going to be the last! there's another post-CNY round coming up next week. help me. granted, i enjoy yu sheng much more than i used to as a kid. i'm no longer adverse to pickled/sugared ginger slices and raw fish (yumm, salmon sashimi!), so i shouldn't complain. but frankly, i still like the simplest of ingredients - the crunchy sinful crackers (偏地黄金!) - best. :D
and if future blog posts incorporate more chinese words / phrases, it is so that i can get into the mood for another year of chinese immersion at work.
