the run-up to the wedding
the home is in move-in condition at last! it has been tottering on the margins of almost-ready and ready for more than a month already, but it was only this saturday that the curtains finally went up and there was a full-blown spring cleaning. now we just need some non-critical furniture (study room chairs, coffee table), non-critical electronics (microwave oven, computer) and wall art / photographs to make the home complete. it's nice to have our own space to hang out! but judging from how almost everyone had to make their way across the island on saturday, i'm guessing visits from friends will be rare, since we're staying in a rather ulu part of singapore. :D
have been counting on the kindness of friends and more friends as the wedding draws nearer, and have been rather touched by how they have rallied around and come out in full force to lend a helping hand or two. lifetime indebtedness!!
