am burnt from checking out the static displays at AA2006 under the hot sun today. the exhibition centre was crawling with even more people than on tuesday, but must say that the organisers did a good job in terms of crowd management at the security screening area as well as in bringing the masses to and from the event location so expeditiously. am not an aviation buff, so will not be waxing lyrical about the F15 and thunderbird exhibits ... but most definitely had an enjoyable time marvelling at the sleek aerodynamic bodies of steel (planes, not hunks) gleaming in the sun. some of the indoor exhibits like the sukhoi and bombardier aeroplane mock-ups were cordoned off today though, which was disappointing, but at least i got to see those earlier in the week already.

hmmm. having a choice in what will essentially be my work scope for the next year or so is good, but it is giving me a headache and it's going to force me to choose between doing something i'm interested in and working for someone whom i'm already very comfortable with. i'm all for the democratic process in this ... but being one who values the relationships i've built with my colleagues and supervisors so far, it's hard to be purely pragmatic when making my choice. garrh.
