A Beautiful Sunday in Wisconsin
Today's update. Pain staying below 5 on the sad/happy face scale.
Staying awake is becoming an issue. Reading goes (and we're talking chap book 2nd grade level reading): Read 1 paragraph, fall asleep after 3rd sentence. Sleep 5 minutes, jerk awake. Read a paragraph, rinse & repeat. But I did manage to finish Vet Volunteers: Manatee Blues. =)
And officially, I am not constipated. I was able to eliminate TWICE today! =) x 100
Was evaluated by At Home PT Jane today, the same PT I had in July. She thinks I'm about 5 days further along than I was with knee #1. I dreamt that I was off both the walker AND the cane. (Obviously very wishful thinking.)
Sleeping in my own bed, on nice cotton sheets, is as ever, blissful. Did I mention before that I had Mom bring a twin sheet set in to the hospital from home, because the hospital percale was causing me to be itchy all over? So I spent the last 2 days cuddled into purple floral linens. *Everyone* who entered my room commented on them. But I was very comfortable.
That's pretty much all I've been up to today. Tomorrow is the first day of my "vacation". The first 5 days of Short Term Disability is taken from our vacation time. I don't consider the hospital stay as vacation. So tomorrow is guilt-free lollygagging, aside from another PT appointment.
Off to bed now.
