I did it! Made it through my first day 'back at work'.
Turns out I slept just fine (yay). Followed the same getting up routine that I've established over the past few weeks of resumed car-pooling. Get up and get dressed at the last minute. Ride to work with M, then drive back home and eat breakfast. Only instead of going back to bed, I settled in at the desk with the work laptop. I lasted over there for about a half hour, before the knee started aching.
I dropped BabyBro & Sil off at the fair (where they met up with the Lady & B and a friend of Mom's. They couldn't all drive together because the elders also had a wheel chair and a rollator. But it was still very early, so there was no traffic to battle and the side trip only cost me a half hour.
Back home I setup shop in the easy chair, and had no problem powering through until 1:30, and my 4 hours were up. Yay. Although I was more than ready to be done, and get some ice on my knee.
Then I had a quick lunch, and crashed in Redland to read. A big storm was on it's way, so I let the dogs out and quickly did my outside PT, finishing up under the light sprinkle that shortly became a deluge. I iced in the easy chair, and then all 3 of us fell asleep (me and both dogs). Woke up to the rumblings of storm #2, so I read a little more, than went to nap back in Redland for the last 45 minutes until I had to go pick up M.
In an ominous fashion, Walgreens notified me that a prescription refill was ready, cost to me: $0. Uh oh. That means that not only have I met my deductible, but I've also exceeded the out-of-pocket cap of $3000. And until today's mail, I had yet to receive a single bill. Today I got the anesthesiologists bill (my part being about 25% of the amount billed) from Dr. Mamalakis. My Ood ball cost my $67, and worth every cent!
Time to set up my spreadsheet so I track all of the financials. I could get very used to having my meds totally covered. I had to get a refilll on a med last week. The last time I got this item, (2 years ago, it lasted me a long time, due to sporadic use) a 3 month supply cost me $15. Some rules must have changed because this time, the exact same quantity would have cost me $1345. (WTF?) But, in reality cost me $0. Honestly, there should be some middle ground, don't you think?
Everyone has just left to take the beasts to the dog park. This is my opportunity to hit the showers. I'm tired now, and I'm sure I will sleep well tonight. Hope you do, too!
